Hi guys, my ecas changed to decision made before receiving the passport request. When I am clicking on DM, it says regarding the decision we have sent u a letter by post on 11th july, 2012. I haven't received any letter. But I have received the email from the Ottawa CPC which says Sponsor approved and application has been sent to ND for further processing. In addition, if you have received this email no more post will be sent.

Ecas details: Sponsorship application status: Decision made
Permanent Resident application status: Application received


I am still confused. Is anyone here pls confirm whose ecas is showing decision made but passport not requested yet.

ND does request passport early in the process looking @ the spread sheet they are sending passport requests about weeks after receiving sponsor approval. Once they request your passport the long part of the wait starts, think ND was @ about 7 months.

Me too.. I am so depressed about it and losing hope for our immigration package.. And why does my bank like to send me mail every week from Mississauga :'( :'( false alarm. Next month is our 5 year anniversary as a couple.

Don't get depressed - your turn will come soon! it's a bit early for you (from the forum and from the dates where people have been approved) as your application has been received on the 30th of April and they are currently working on the 23rd april more or less (from the spreadsheet). So set your mind that you will hear from them next week - if it comes before, that's great, if not, then you don't get too anxious about waiting. The last week is really hard, so of course I understand what you are going through and it's almost over...

congrats!... now im really getting anxious with my app.

Fireluck - if you speak a little french, try to choose french as the language... you only need to know the minimum to understand the options, and at the end the agent on the line should speak both french and english, so you can speak in english to him/her, but I have read somewhere on the forum that the french lines are less busy, so you might get through easier...

Hi Rosie Lee, It is just a Passport request letter what ND VO sends to most of them in the first 2- 3 weeks of sponsorship approval.I am still sailing the same boat with you all Aprilicants !

Hey wargo,

there is actually a way. You can sign a form where you authorise your brother on your behalf, but he doesn't become your representative. In that way, your brother can call CIC on your behalf and ask about the status of your application but the rest of the communication will still go to you.
