Congrats to everyone who recently got approved for sponsorship!!! I saw a few posts back that your husband got deported?? did he clear his deportation? my husband had to clear his too, wonder if that could be stalling the sponsorship approval?

Geesh you know you might be right, he will not be cleared till August 16th, interesting, that could totally be what is holding it up !

So, on July 18 they approved apps from April 17.

Today (July 24) they approved apps received on April 23 (mc1234) and April 30 (BBG83).

Seems like a nice jump. If that is indeed so tomorrow's update will show April 30 at least.

P.s.: seems like the spreadsheet needs quite a bit of color

I doubt it will move to the 30th, there are still quite a few waiting from the 5th onward. I bet it will move ahead a week, to the 25th.

yup, thats what im thinking too! also my package was sent back to me because I didnt have the "new" forms with the barcodes and because i wrote everything out in black ink by hand...so when I returned it for the 2nd time, im guessing they put our application back to the end of the line...

For the past month every update to cic website coincided with the last person on the spreadsheet. In any case the important thing is that people should not wait so much.

if your talking about your profile on this site, you cant update it till you have about at least 10 posts, then you'll have the option to update your profile

95 days waited so far .. and not even an AOR
3 days of calling CiC all day, still cant get through :'(

if this is stage 1, i dont even want to imagine what my stage 2 is going to be like, with the backlog my VO is going through

you should hear this week for sure....hang in there a little longer......and believe me....you can't imagine stage 2....the wait is worse......but having said that....it is still one step closer to the finish line!!!!

lol, yep its kind of a hurry up and wait situation, you get all pumped for the 1st stage approval so you can wait for the 2nd, but yes it is one step closer !

Immigration is such a hurry up and wait kinda game.

I feel ya. My VO (Buffalo/Ottawa/LA.. whatever it is) seems to be at a standstill with processing stage 2 because they closed down Buffalo and sent applications to other offices. We'll be waiting a good awhile.

i don't know what to feel now... i just hope it gets approved... i don't want to wait long and just learn there's a prob with my app... my baby needs her dad asap!

yes and you think you have it under control because you know stage 2 is always longer....but because stage 1 was sooo long for sooo many of us......it's just made stage 2 that much longer.......unless we are so so lucky that the VO's from lack of our files have cleaned up their backlog It could be a possibility!!!!
