Hey abddayo
I received my AOR2 on the 18-08-2015.

Our application went into process and we received a letter asking us to redo our medicals and police security checks ($$). The docs sent in are two years old now if you can imagine. I must say that I had no (+) emotions hearing about some movement on our application – for me it was best to detach myself emotionally (can't say I did a consistent job of that...). I was however kind of irritated that they wanted the documents within 30 days - why the rush after all.

On another note - the last leaders debate was interesting - re: the candidates responses to prioritizing economic immigrants verses family reunification.

Hi guys.. I would like to know... is the application fees for sponsorship and right of permanent residence fees different or the same?

Right of Permanent Residence Fee $490.00.
Sponsorship application (per application) $75.00.
Principal applicant $475.00

Considering there is only one principal applicant. So you have not paid the fees upfront??

Thanks Acecube... We've paid the $475 and $75 only. Is it advisable to pay the $490 in advance?

You can pay the fees in advance or wait for them to send you an email in order to pay the fees. I guess you will receive the email in the near future since you are already in process.

If you pay the fees in advance, you can send them the proof of payment right away when they send you the email.

Yeah I also didn't pay the $490 upfront, which is in hindsight not a great idea. I don't think it delays the application by much if anything. I read somewhere that they ask for this payment when they ask for your passport.
