Applications processed in Pretoria

Josephs, I see you sent in your application and did your medicals later. How did this work, i.e. did they send you a request to do the medicals? I ask because we sent our application to sponsor my step-son to Mississauga (I am in Canada) and they have approved sponsorship and forwarded the application to Pretoria. As my step-son was in SA at the time of our application, he did not do a medical before we submitted the package. I am now wondering whether Pretoria will request it, or whether he should go and do it and send it on to Pretoria. Please let me know how yours worked out. Thanks! :-*

Don't wait for the to ask, just do it as soon as possible and send it to them. That's what I did and the received it withing 2 weeks.

Steph16....boy I hope that is the case. Although My wife's medical expires in june so I think she'll need to get it renewed before the visa gets issued. I will definately keep you posted and let you know their issues are...hopefully it will help others out as well

Guys don't worry it looks like Pretoria is working fast on the applications. You guys will be next.

I live with my wife here in South Africa we'll only be moving towards the end of the year. I'll keep you posted in case things change.

IndianOcean thank you for all your support. I hope visa can't be refused after PPR right? I didn't get any email that interview has been waived.

Josephs, don't worry too much. Not everyone gets an email stating the inetrview was waived. You are pretty much done. Just wait for your passport to be returned with your visa in it. You have already gone through the hardest part of the process. Try to be less anxious and relax!!!

We didnt get an interview waived message either...just waiting for the passports with a visa in it.

They called in all the cases I know, but it might be possible you'll just get an email too. Anyways we'll be contacted somehow.

Thanks for the response Josephs, and guess what... My step-son got a letter in the mail asking him to do his medical and get his police clearance. Seems like Pretoria REALLY is working fast!! Whoo Hoo!!
