I called the cic call centre and they said it shouldnt be a problem to send in a newly issued passport for their request. And to alert the pretoria office of the delay which we just did. Once i hear from pretoria they're ok with it i'll be relieved.

I am guess it shouldn't be a problem. Since you cannot call Pretoria and they do not reply to emails, you might as well ask your husband to go there in person just to be safe. Good luck!

We had emailed the address in the passport request letter before about a courier permission letter to pick up the passports and pretoria responded in three days. We just used the same email this time too...hopefully.thats ok.

I have emailed pretoria before as well. The first 2 times, they responded within 24hours, ant the third time they responded within 72hrs.
For the new passport, I don't think it is going to make a difference for you, even if it does, it will be expected to be minimal.
Do not worry too much.

Oh what horror!! I am so upset with Pretoria right now....

My wife was checking an old email account that she no longer uses and found and email from pretoria dated March 13th, 2012 asking for an interview on April 11th! This is the email account that she used when applying for a temporary visa a couple of years ago. When we applied for the PR visa we supplied a different email address (they even sent the AOR this address). Now we are pass the interview date and the letter warns that if you miss the appointment it can result in them refusing our application. I am so heart broken about this....

If they already sent you something else to the new address before....and you have only one email address in the application..you would think they will reschedule the interview. Wouldnt hurt to send them a screen capture of the adress in the interview letter side by side with a capture of where you filled in the email on the app.

It is unbelievable the careless mistake they make at times. they were not supposed to use the old address
You should contact the VO as soon as possible and explain to them what you just wrote here.
As it is their fault, I do not think that it isi going to cost. You should document clearly that your wife provided a email address which they have even used it recently for the AOR. I hope this issue can be resolved pretty quickly.

I hope so to....I told my wife to write them and then I wrote as well. Hopefully a decision hasn't been made yet and that they will be understanding. I really need her here with me, I miss her so much....

We are all on the same boat. So I really understand what you mean. I miss my husband soooooo much too.
We all have to keep hope that very soon we will be reunited. When that moment comes, all the waiting, stress, anxiety will be a distant past...

Well we heard back from the embassy today. They are going to let her schdule another interview at her convience. So I we are thinking about two weeks from now because she has to fly down. Anyone else have to do an interview from Pretoria? Or am I one of the really unlucky ones?

That's a great news though that they agreed to reschedule. Just look at the glass half full.
Did you order your CAIPS or GCMS notes to prepare for the interview.

unfortunately we didnt...I prepared the documents but didnt send them out. I doubt if there is enough time now
