Applications processed in Pretoria

Guys I have some questions. When I took my medicals yesterday, the doctor didn't ask for my UCI or Application number. Is that normal? How will the connect it with my application? Mallisonsa I see you got your medicals after your file has been transferred to Pretoria. How did you get your medicals to Pretoria?

In my case I did my medicals before I sent me application to CPC-M, and I included a copy of the medical on it. When the doctor is filling up the form, he asked me which Visa Office I was using, and I said Pretoria, so I think after the medicals got checked from Nairobi ( now I guess it's London ) it was transferred to Pretoria.

They don't ask for a UCI or something similar, because you are supposed to do your Medicals before you send the application, well at least that is what I read on the guide.

They know who you are since it all goes to Pretoria and I'm sure Pretoria will match your file with no problems. Worst case, the doc gave you a receipt, so when Pretoria request your medicals, just email or fax the receipt to Pretoria. With that they have the unique match.

We are planning to move sometime in May or June. With the police clearance, I would just make sure that none of the clearances are older than 3 months, so if your SA one will expire in the next month or so, I'll rather send it to Pretoria one by one, rather than having them be expired.

Not yet, waiting and waiting..the letter said 5-10days.. I assume working days (mon-fri) ?! I sent it last monday, got there on Tuesday..

Yeah the Pretoria thread has been quite quiet, the August 2011 thread also has been quiet for a while now. I guess when people get their PR they just abandon the forum.
But I'll stick around, to share experience and maybe help others who knows.

You are right about people not commenting anymore after getting their PR. I am glad you will be sticking around after getting yours. Perhaps you can share your experience in Canada with the rest of us waiting for our PR.

Yeah sure, even though I have stayed there for almost a year with my wife, so I know more or less what kind of life I expect there. Just checked ecas now, and it says decision made..that sounds good ;D

Wow!!! congrats, hopefully your visa will get back to you in 2or 3 days . Praying quick process of mine too. My medical just got sent to London today, I was given a copy to take to Pretoria. My police clearance are done too. I will be taking them all to the embassy on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed for the rest of us.

Yes take as soon as possible the copy of the medicals and police clearance to Pretoria. Praying for a speedy process for you also, seems like Pretoria is moving fast! Let's keep on being positive, I'm pretty sure you will get your PR soon also!
