There is no need to stay in Canada untill you get the PR card. You can give your cousin's address and then he send the PR card to you by mail from Canada to the USA.


The only thing might come in your way is if there is any photo problem issue with the PR cards because they will ask you in that case to come in person to CIC office, take a photo there , and get your PR card in the spot. (in this case you will have to come back from the states to Canada on your own vehicle to pass the borders as no any transportation mean is gonna let you in).

1) Assume that the landing process was finished at time 0 and I gave them my cousin's address for the PR card to be delivered
2) I left Canada to be back to US at time 1
3) My cousin received the PR card together with the notice of the photo issues and sent the card to me via Fedex
4) I need to come back to CIC in Canada in my own vehicle for correcting the PR card...

Is that the case?? Do I need to apply for another temporary Visa to get in?

I have the same question, as our landing visa is a one time entry so to renter Canada do i need to take the visitor visa or is another way,
and from your scenario of photo issue they wont be issuing a PR card right once the photo is corrected then only they will issue it.And what all things needed at the time of landing, i mean photos , cash etc.

If you have any issues with your PR photo you can drive from US to Canada using your COPR for the photo corrections.

You can not fly from any other country on PR photo issue but you can fly by applying Travel Documents.

I think Since you have submitted your passports for stamping and this is the last stage your case is completed. That is why they have mentioned decision made. It does mean that they stamped your passport.

Even I sent my passport on Dec27th and Ecase changed to Decision made on Jan10th but did not receive my stamped passport yet and still waiting for my Maple leaf. Hopefully by gods grace we will get it soon.

This situation can never happen beause if there is any photo problem, they will not issue the PR card. Instead, they will send a letter to your mailing address informing you "the applicant", that you have to attend in person to get your photo, and PR card on the spot".

The letter is gonna state the address of the CIC office, and the time and date you should appear there.

No. this can never happen because you are already a PR. They wont issue any temporary visa for you. Instead, you will have to apply for somthing called Travel document from the Canadian visa office in the country where you are to be able to reenter Canada using any transportation mean such as; Bus, Airplane.....etc.

If you are coming back to Canada on your own vehicle, there will be no need to apply for any travel document, as your Conformation of permanent residence document will be enough.

The point here is that the international transportation agreements between the "Carrier" companies, and Canada do not allow those companies to carry people who do not have their PR cards to Canada, unless they have a travel document. So if you can arrive Canada on your own, you will be fine, which can never happen from any country other than the united states because it is the only country that has road borders with Canada.

Actually I have no idea as to whether traveler check is gonna be acceptable as a POF or not. In my case i just asked my bank in Canada to print out the account information statment which has my name, address, the day i opened the account, the amount of money in my account, and the type of the account, signed, dated, and stamped by the bank, and that was it.


All you need to bring with you, is your passports with the PR visas, COPR document, and the POF.

No, there is no connection between cashing the RPRF and the medical results.
