I just came to know if you have AMEX credit card you can actually transfer it to Canada and get AMEX card over there.

Haha, I have two Amex with 20k credit line each =)). Thanks mark_immi. Do we need to get the SIN card before apply for credit card?
I will definitely open the bank account the day I become PR. Which one is good in Toronto area, btw? TD bank, Royal Can or BM etc.

I think SIN is needed and also they won't give full credit limit same as here as you don't have any history over there. But from what I understand looks like it gives edge over there to jump start. And you can keep the one over here also open.

Also if you are in one of the states in US where there are RBC bank branches (I think Scotia is better but with RBC you can get peace for the sake of transferring money), check and open account with them. you can probably transfer your money free/ considerably low charges. And may be same with their credit cards.

RBC is not in NY/NJ though. And doesn't let you open either if you are not in one of those states with branches.

It was mailed in the Fedex. LA office did a wonderful job by changing the tracking number and they mentioned my address in the place of Sender's and Receiver's address .
