Hi entemaria, sorry I meant to reply to this at the time - but somewhat more heated topics took over! :)

Just to say I am sorry for inadvertently providing any misleading information. The vast majority of visa offices ask for RPRF to be payable to "Receiver General for Canada" in Canadian dollars, and usually a different payee for their own currency.

Clearly Buffalo is an exception! But good information, so thanks for pointing it out :)

Wayne.

Thanks Wayne,

I was so sure that you were trying to help with the experience from other VOs and I did not want Pradeep to proceed with some mistaken info without knowing that Buffalo VO stands so much exceptional in many thing. I did not want VO to return RPRF for rectification and cause delay on his application.

Buffalo VO is exceptional. For example, I am a FSW1 applicant but I have not given my bank statement or any direct financial information except my experience certificate where my employer has given information about my salary. Buffalo VO did not ask me any further information and they are going to proceed my application without an interview or updated PCC since I live in Canada for past 4 years.

Isn't this is exceptional????

thanks for clearing things since many fellow forumers follow your post.

thanks shalom for your reply..
this is the first time i am informing this to the NDvisa office..do you have a link to download application form or its the same IMM form that we used for additional family member, and where will this money order of cad$150 needs to be addressed?
thanks

I will advise that you contact your VO before submitting his application. Using fax gets response fast from VO They will then tell you what to submit. However, the application form is the same IMM 0008 generic form. The $150 (canadian $) bank draft should be addressed to RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA (as per London VO). I strongly advise you to start the passport application process. Its about the most important document in his application.
Best wishes.

Yes bro, same here :( application received at the CIO on sep 02, 2010 and since then waiting waiting waiting.... :( I am hopeful now after Helen's status changed to IN PROCESS! Do pray bro :(
My hopes are with you, matey! It cannot be long now for those of us who have been somewhat left behind to be moved on and that means YOU!
Perhaps it was applying for CAIPS notes that spurred them into action in our case ( I will still post the results of that here when they are forthcoming, which should be very soon now) or just flagged it up as something that had got sidelined. In any case, it is a great relief but it seems I am not the only London good news by any means!
I have been in Canada with my husband at my new home for the last fortnight and I seem to have missed a lot of good London news (and elsewhere, of course) but also some tragic news and a bit of a punch-up.
Hearty congratulations where due, sincere commiserations where needed and to those in disagreement, a hope for everyone to come to a mature arrangement to agree to disagree. There are strongly-held feelings here and no-one is going to change anyone else's minds, that much is clear and I am glad to see we have moved on from that on the forum now. I have benefited enormously from the forum, in support, advice and indeed off-forum friendship and it would be a shame for other newer members to be denied the input of experienced and generous advisers because of a difference of viewpoint. New readers can and should make up their own minds about whose advice they choose to follow based on their feelings from reading the postings.
Thank you :-* to everyone who saw and commented on my update and especially my fellow London applicants who have been left very much in the dark without the kind VO contact that other VOs have extended to their applicants. Good luck to everyone for the next steps coming quickly and successfully.

Hi kami,
Did you receive a request for MR/fee?

Hi everyone,
I haven't been around for a while. But around july 12th, I received an email from Buffalo
asking me to do fingerprint checks by the Canadian RCMP. I was not in canada at the time and I sent finger prints with some delay on July 28th.
This information might be useful for others, so i'd appreciate it if someone updated my
status in the spreadsheet.
thanks,
kami

Guys,

Today I received a letter from London VO asking for updated forms (Application for PR, Background/Declaration), updated police certificates from my current country of residence (UAE), evidence of sufficient funds, photographs of my children, and RPRF.

They stated that the Medical Instructions will be issued upon receipt, and asked me to send a request to withdraw an old pending application (since 2007).

The letter is dated 14th July. They gave me 60 days to send these documents.

Based on your experience, when shall I expect the medical examination documents (given I send these documents within a couple of days)?
