My dear friends:

I am going to give you this year's heppiest news for me till now....PASSPORT REQUEST!!!! :D :D :D :D

Today I have received it and the letter is dated on 27th June. I don't know the ECAS status now as I can not check it from last 20 days. But I guess it should be "Decision Made". :P :P :P :P :P :P

But one thing, still SGVO does not ask "RFPR" :o :o :o :o :o :o :o Don't know what is their plan!!!!

Admin, please update the spreadsheet.....thanks in advance ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think someone here mentioned few days back that the applicants residing in Pakistan get their visas stamped by the Canadian consulate in Islamabad though the entire processing is carried out by London VO.

Anyways I JUST wanted to highlight this point since I was aware of it.

Thanks for wishing MR for me........I need all the luck.........114 days in running and I'm still RBVO........That's some sort of a record for ND VO.........They haven't even responded to my CSE that I sent in the last week of May........

Jasson you are correct, but there is no other go to send PP by Courier, as each county is not having VO. Just for example Gulf Countries Visa office is london...so who ever is staying there they have to send their PP to london VO by courier. People can not leave their JOB and go with their PP to the Visa office country and wait for the visa.

One thing can be done if local Canadian Embassy (Even if they are not delaing with Immigration Visa) receive the passport and they arrange to send to concren VO...hope proble will solve in this case.

This is my openion.

Anyhow best of luch..hope you will receive your Medical soon.

Regards,

Hi - that's not correct.

When ECAS turns "In Process" it means just that - your application is now in process. This means you have passed the visa office eligibility review and that the background document checks, including employment verification if needed, have begun.

The length of time the background document checks take can vary greatly between visa offices and cases - from a few days to several months.

So being "In Process" doesn't mean your medical requests are yet on the way.

Hi,
But the situation seems to be different for Accra ( and I imagine for some other VOs as well where some people have reported it).
Now, Accra gives off an "in process" ecas for two Dec applicants and one February applicant and sends an MR and RPRF notification 5 days after! Isn't that suggestive of a concluded background/security check?
BTW, the rest of July/August/September/October applicants are still RBVO ???
Doesn't make sense :(

I think it's a relatively safer option for you as you are dealing with London VO, which doesn't take long to return the stamped passports.

As I said, I just wanted to highlight this as I had done some research sometime back as I was expecting a similar situation for myself.

Good Luck !!!

Well Jason, I totally agree with you. But suggest me something - I cannot get a UK visa now as it will take a month or so from now and then i have to go to UK and get it sorted. If I am unable to send it by post then i have no other viable choice.

London has a similar situation. I have heard on March 2011 applicant on the BritishExpats forum with medical requests, yet many Jul/Aug/Sep/Oct 2010 applicants are not even in process yet!

Seems there was some lag in getting these applicants transferred from CAIPS to GCMS, but it is most unfair that they continue to be overlooked in favour of applicants whose applications were received many months after theirs. Especially in light of London's continuing insistance that they are processing applications in the strict order in which they arrive (which they are clearly NOT).

Although, myself, yourself and Danishsoomro are all currently residing in Great Britain so current country of residence may have something to do with it.

Wayne.

I have the same opinion; it has nothing to do with being Pakistani or not, rather, I think (just my idea) that it has something to do with the country of residence (when the application is made)

There was a question a few pages back asking whether Canadians celebrate the US 4th July. I am sure this was meant in an "official way". The answer is NO. We are CANADIAN, LOL. So, no holiday here for 4th of July - CIO is back at work today trying to see daylight above the PILE of applications that are being delivered right now!!!
Unofficially, I am sure many people participate in 4th of July celebrations (*any excuse for an extra beer?) They go all out with the fireworks, too.

Yes - I think it will be most interesting when we get the first "total applications received" update on the CIC website.

I'll bet that NOC 1122 is already half full! ;)

1122 should be full by the time we get it!
3152 (nurses) immediately after
3131, after a month or so ;D

hi fighter,
COngrats...it's totally weird that SGVO hanvt asked for your RPRF yet. I think you should send a case specific enquiry regarding that

I sent them a CSE in the last week of May but haven't yet heard from them. Not even a standard reply !!!

HA! Remember in The Old Days we used to wager (yet another BEER) on what date something would happen? Wonder if anyone has the energy to do that again? I'll start with seeing the FIRST NOC FILLED by 19 July.
