I have received reply from ND VO. Seems they have now settled to a standard post June 26 reply. I only quoted my UCI number and they replied with my file number. So some kind of traceability is there in the system. I was asking if I have to send copy of my old passport pages (I forgot to send them to CIO) or not and they simply replied with standard reply that they will send a confirmation of receipt of my application once they have it.

Cappuccino,

Just ignore it! Who needs these + and -. You are a great person with your own ideas (very usefull for most of us)!

Just, please, don't curse.

My apologies, I have removed my post.

I don't strive for "+" ratings, but I do get quite wound up tight when I actually see people change + to - for no good reason, it's like spitting my attempts to help people back in my face.

Wayne.

Viktoria, why is your date of submission a secret? Your profile on the left says XX-11-2010, any special reason?

kolhapuri,

There isn't a secret.I send my application with regular recommended mail. I send it on 29 on October 2010, but I have never got evidence of dispatch although I paid for it.I could not tell when exactly my application was received but I knew exactly when was encashed my CC (9.11.2010). I hope if I get PER I will know that and I will write it.

Regards

Viktoria

Finally heard from CIO....I had taken Academic IELTS....now I need to do the General Module and send the original in 120 days!!! They are working....just working very very slowly....
This refers to your application for permanent residence to Canada which was received at this office on XX XXXX 2010
At the initial assessment of your application, we have determined that you have included an Academic IELTS test result with your application. However, only the General Training IELTS test results are acceptable for immigration to Canada. For additional information, please check our website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp
In order to continue the assessment of your applications, you must submit the following document:
IELTS test original results – GENERAL TRAINING option (not Academic option)
You have 120 days from the date of this letter to submit an original “General Training” IELTS test result. Your application will be assessed based on the information submitted.
Failure to submit the General Training IELTS test result within the next 120 days may result in your application being refused.

So they are indicating that they will send a notification once they get the paper file, but they are saying that after 2 months since you received your PER they have still not received the paper file from CIO?

I find it incredible that it could take that long.

My only thoughts is that they are stockpiling applications, possibly not at CIO but in Ottawa where their diplomatic courier base is, waiting for there to be a big enough batch to send to visa office.

It's possible that they may only be sending "batches" every couple of months or so?

Wayne.

Hi Physiocraze,

I too got the same standard reply from ND visa office, not sure if this is real or just a common reply.

If this is real I'm wondering why would they need more than 45 days to transfer my application file from CIC to ND VO, they can allways send the soft copy of the documents via shared network, in that way they can put some sense to what they say of reducing 120 days time line.

Regards
Bindu

I have just sent a case specific enquiry to Manila Visa Office. Will share as soon as i get a reply. If none of those who have received their PER's receive any communication within 2-3 months from Visa office then i don't see any use of changing the simplified application process to this new gazette..

Wayne or other guys who control the spreadsheet,
how about highlighting Punter and Carl128 differently now that they have received a reply to get back to CIC with IELTS but it is not a PER or NER?

Dear,
I emailed to CIC ,NS 7days ago to know my application status.
They answered me that they had transfered my file to VO.
So, they advised me for any more quary or communication with my VO.

Hi. Good idea. I have added a "notes" field where we can store information about people who are waiting for special reasons such as this. I've marked punter and carl128 in yellow, please let me know if ppl think it should be another colour?

Wayne.
