I agree with silent .....he has correctly mentioned about the CIO procedure. It is also given in their Instruction Guide IG7.

EDIT - The other part is 6-8 weeks... they do mention the same... but it may take 2-3 months ... depending on the way they remit + type of post they use.

Does that mean the PCC would be valid for 12 months?
I got My FBI report on 2nd week of october ,2010 but didn't send to CIC coz of my spouse PCC that we haven't yet receivedso wondering if my PCC would be valid till i get PER which will be more that 3 months old by that time.
Any input from experts???????

Well, I have heard that they no longer have to be 3 months old or less when received (seems that has been dropped from the instructions) so if they have 12 months validity it should be ok.

However, until you know if you passed your eligility review it may be a waste of money for the sake of waiting a few days to hear the results of the review before investing!

Wayne, I just want to recall post of last weekend. I hope u remember. Do you think that CIO is going to maintain this time scale entire year ? Since last 3 weeks we have observed that this time scale is maintained and PER's are released in sequence .

I dont think so. The applications received by CIO were not at the same rate. If you see our spreadsheet, the most busy day from our group is 9th of September (6 entries). Most of the people who saw thier NOC after July 26th and started collecting stuff were submitting to CIC by early September. Then it tailed off a bit. This will also reflect in PER's issuance. My 2 cents.

Let's hope that the waiting period of getting PER decreases and comes to around 90 days from an average of 112 days......

Yes. I believe the new rules were brought in to reduce processing time to about 6 months. It will take a while to achieve this but with the cap, it will make it eventually achievable. For our lot, I think we should be looking at 6 months to 1 year.

Guys, Can you please clarify my concerns, regarding proof of study (for non-English original language),
I know (for London VO) it has to be in a sealed envelope stamped by University, and then it requires authorised translation and it has to be notarised, so what we’ve done - we sent them translated and notarised copies (for non English study) and for English (Irish) Degree we’ve just sent original transcript, as provided by University and notarised copy of Degree itself.

Completeness review we’ve passed, just waiting for PER now, can this be an issue?

PCC It IS valid for 12 months, BUT CIO does not accept them if they are older than 3 Months !!!

My sincere apology goes to those who sent me Pm's but could not replied. As i was busy in completing my landing process I could not concentrate on thread, when i saw last week my inbox was full of messages which i saved in my laptop, now i have completed all my work in canada.

But fact is Anil & Indara helped this thread in a manner, im really amazed to see the way they replied to all, if will be unfair if I do not mentiong names of coffee, Wayne and Pippin.

I was going thru previous msgs it was really informative. marvellous sir Anil good spreadsheet, and Indira u got good knowledge, i know the hard time u faced for passports and DOB, anyway u learned lot from that now in a position to guide others.

every one is doing good work, I cannot mention all names, no one is less then other, but few names which i mentioned they are the members since I start this thread and they proved that they are real Gem of this thread.

This is from CIC website "The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application." From a legal standpoint, it does not say that the PCC should be no more than 3 months old before CIC receives it, it says it should not be more that 3 months old before you submit applictaion. Which means you can submit it whenever but the date of receipt, on the PCC, must not be more than 3 months before your application was submitted.
