This is how i came up with 5:00 pm:

CIO received my package around 4:00 pm, as per DHL.

In the letter i received from CIO, which was dated as 02/09/2010 it says as of 01/09/2010 my application does not accompany a valid CC number. It doesn't say as of 02/09/2010. Govt. offices close at 5:00pm, so i am assuming that they tried to charge my CC right away. Or it can be a typo, but in that case they tried it on Sep 02, 2010. But in either case it was super fast.

Hi Maani1985,

from your post CIO tried to charge your CC first thing they did after receipt. this complements logic that charging CCs could mean nothing but the fact the the CIO received our application package ???

thanks mani1985 for u information all the best for u r second submission

anil and indera speed up u r process think +ve with mani's numbers and same time do it fast

I have some confusion in mind or may b its my thinking that CB and me both relating to NOC 1122,it is also possible that this NOC copmplted 1000 application and thy start working on this noc

Hey Faani

Long time no see. Hope everything is good at your end. Did you resubmit your case? We all were praying for the same :).

Also could you please throw some light on the following procedure by CIO.... like your number in Red / green on left / right side of your application???? I am quoting our other good member's observation...... whose application was also returned like yours.. (but on different grounds) ......... Your comments will help us to follow CIO's timeline ....... 8) 8). Take care.

Cheers, Anil

Ok guys I am getting this question a lot. I think now i should expose it.

Before I filed my application, my three cousins filed their applications but unfortunately all these applications came back due to the same reason that they didn't provided their I-94s and U.S. visa copies (Buffalo modified its checklist after they submitted their application). When their application came back, there were two prominent things on the application.

1. Red number on the right corner which is definitely a sequential number, at that time for my first cousin it was 7661, for second it was 7673. For my third cousin it was 7774. Please note that they sent their applications almost one week apart from each other.

2. On the left corner there is an NOC code and number in green color below that. This number is in hundreds, so I am 100% sure it has something to do with 1000 cap. My two cousins applied under 1122 and one under some other, I don't remember the code. At that time 1122 was in its 200s.

3. Same thing was mentioned on my application. The right number was 13,455 and left was 746.

I hope It will clarify some of the doubts.

Thanks.

my application reached on 19th july
BD was encashed on 10th september:))) my consultant informed me today:)

Hi Coffee

No dear.... it means more than that ;D AND they didn't try to charge CC as soon as they receive the application. >:( >:( They checked the whole application....... with all kind of marks everywhere :-\ Then tried to charge..... the whole procedure might not have taken more than 15 minutes (and we spend more than 15 days to collect them :P :P ::) ::) ).

It means clearly that CIO has accepted the application for processing........ a major hurdle that you have cleared. ;D ;D

Hi Faani,

What is the number in RED ink, on the right side of your application?

And is there any number on the left? if yes, what is it?

Thanks

Hello Members,

I am new on this forum. For more than a month i been thinking what was that number on my application when i got it back, and now when Maani1985 explained what it could be, I am pretty sure Maani is right. I salute to his analysis.

I sent my application on 07/27/2010. CIO got on 08/02/2010. They sent back my app on 08/06/2010 and there were the numbers mentioned on my app:

Right Number: 9,432.

Left Number: NOC # 1122 Green Number 333

Hello Anil,

I see your logic now, why would the CIO staff mark the application if CC cannot be charged... I did not think of that when reading about 4:00 PM delivery and 5:00 govt office close times

Cool! This is significant because we know that banker's drafts are being cashed.

Can't wait to phone my bank tomorrow and see if our's is cashed!

Well tomorrow = 17 days since our application arrived, and most rejections we've heard of are within 3 weeks, so hopefully after another week we'll be "safe". Still, finding our banker's draft being cashed will certainly boost our confidence ;)
