Good morning fellow applicants
Just wanted to report that I checked the FSW Immigration Guide and there are no changes to report... which I can't say whether it is a good thing or bad... everything certainly remains confusing. For example, look below at the "Selection and Admissibility" category following eligibility review.
"If your application is eligible for processing, your application will be assessed against the following requirements:
minimal requirements
selection factors
sufficient funds
admissibility (criminality, security, medical)
If your score is equal to or greater than the pass mark, your application will be sent to the visa office for further processing."
Reading this, one would think that CIO will be doing all this work and once accomplished they would send your application to your VO office simply to issue your Visa... BUT!! ???
In the PER letters they are sending, they say:
"Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing on the basis of:
( ) Work experience...
( ) Arranged Employment...
Your application will be forwarded to the visa office for further processing.
Any future correspondence should be sent to the visa office. Your reference number is located below the date of this letter. You must quote this reference number in any future correspondence."
All this would be entertaining if our future lives didn't depend on these procedures
Wish they could make the rules a little more clear and stick to them... It's like you are playing chess and halfway through the game, they tell you your Pawns can no longer move forward, just sideways... Or you are playing monopoly, land in jail, get all upset, only to find it is now a Holiday Inn
As for PERS, I certainly hope everyone who's application was received in August get their PER before the New Year, don't know about the Sep. crowd, myself included :
Seems CIO is working on a beat of their own. They accomplish several tasks on a batch of applications and randomly issue PERs when they are done. Best of luck to everyone...
May your day be filled with PERs,
Cam
