I am so sorry to hear about your loss (I must have missed this post somehow). Equally sorry about visa office's ridiculous reply.

These kind of visa office errors makes them seem very inhuman indeed :(

Now I know why my complaints should be very limited :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:. I think your case takes the cake.
Can someone from CIC please apologize for obvious over reaching estimations that are not holding true in all cases ??? ??? ???
I am thinking at this point some applications may be unlucky enough to reach the 18 month mark :mad: :mad: :mad:
And the early birds seem to be the guinea pigs too!
