I am surprised to read buffalo's response, this is totally absurd.
Let me ask you this, do you have a file number starting with letter B followed by 9 digits. The reason I am asking because I just learned that you should only inform buffalo visa office about deaths in the family if you have the file number issued by the Buffalo VO. Please read the following paragraph.
Updating an application for permanent residence
If you already have an application at an office for a permanent resident visa you must inform us of changes.

Please inform us immediately for:
Change of address, including change of e-mail address
Change of immigration representative
Request for withdrawal of your application

Please inform us after you have received your file number (letter B followed by 9 digits) for:
Birth, adoption, death, marriage, or divorce that changes information provided in your application

When I received PER from Sydney, Nova Scotia, my file number started with B00........

I send the specific enquiry using my Universal Client ID (UCI) since I have that when I entered first time to Canada and that is valid for your life time

It is just 'cut and paste' reply that they have made. they didn't read my 4 lines email. I jsut wrote the facts.

I am thinking of applying CAIPS since I am in Ottawa and I can do that by just walk-in.

Hi,
I am sorry about your loss.
Try not to feel disappointed at what is probably a generic reply from Buffalo. I know it looks absolutely insensitive, but I guess they probably think they have gone according to standard procedures.
I suggest you submit a supplementary additional family information form as soon as you are told to submit medicals etc

Please can you tell me how long it takes for you to receive your baby's medical after submitting her application to your VO.
I sent my baby's application to London VO in person on monday this week.
I don't have any idea of when it may take to receive his medical.
I spoke with the DMP today (thursday). She told me that we can't do the medical without medical form from VO. She, however, promised to give us immediate appointment as soon as we received the MR for him

Our RPRF was only cashed on the 4th July.
I am now waiting for my baby's medical request from London VO.

Dear Shalom,

It took them 15 days from the day the package was delivered at the VO till I got the phone call informing me about sending the medicals by DHL. I hope you attached all needed documents and personal photographs.

But, I don't know if we can take Cairo VO replying timeline as a reference to London's.

He was my best well wisher and biggest support who helped me 4 years before when I moved to Canada. Whenever I flew home, he was the one who picked me from Airport. It is difficult.
