Hi people ,

Hope everybody is doing good, today by the grace of god almighty Jesus Christ we received our passport and our landing papers.

I have a query for the couples who already received their visa.In our landing paper mine showing Martial status - single and in my wife's it showing Married.

And in accompanying family member line, in my landing paper mentioned my wife name and finally they mentioned spouse,it is like......aaaaaa,spouse

But in my wife's paper they mentioned my name and there is no spouse nothing mentioned as mine.

Its really confusing me,so please guys clarify my doubts....

Regards,

Jeevan
Please contact the NDVO about this, if possible visit them in person and have this corrected. It happened with one other forum member(Odin) and he got it done.

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

hello fellows
it is my 1st contribution but i follow this great forum constantly. you are great people.

please guide me in my critical case:
- i applied in FSW1 NOC 3113 & my file was received on 12-Oct-2010 by cio
- i received my PER on 15-Feb-2011
- i receive 2nd AOR from Cairo VO on 29-March-2011

the problem is that i didn't receive the medical request till now & they didn't respond to any of my inquires

the question is: can i re-apply again in order to reach the 500 cap ? or the cio will reject my new file because i have a pending (not rejected yet) file ??

thanks in advance for any advice

That does seem a long time to be "In Process", however it depends how many countries you have lived in and how complex your case is, to determine how long the background document checks will take.

The thing is contacting visa office unnecessarily will delay someone's application, if not yours, since every minute spent answering queries is a minute not spent processing cases.

If I were in your position I would wait until the end of July, and then if you do decide to send a query, phrase it as such that you are asking if they require any further information or further documents, and not "please give me my status" which tends to annoy them! :)

Best of luck.
Wayne.
Dear Dentist3000,

Hello :)

I have no idea and i cannot predict things about what WILL happen. All I can say is there is no definite logic or trend as we see with the processing of applications here.. Every theory has examples to prove otherwise..

That being said, I believe there are a bunch of officers who work faster than others and it might be the reason why some applications(in batches) are delayed than others..

Patience is the key!

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hmm with respect, why is your case "critical"? Are you in danger of exploding at any moment? :)

Visa offices only respond to queries intermittently, and they probably get tired of thousands of queries of "Please can I get an update on my status?" preferring instead to devote their energies into actually processing cases - so please don't take it personally if they don't reply to some or all of your queries.

Yes, you can make another application without effecting your current application - when either of them reach medicals stage they will ask you to withdraw the other. But I fail to see how going to the large expense (in terms of money and hours) gathering documents all over again is going to be of any use?

Are you "In Process" yet? Does your ECAS status have the line "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on XYZ". If so, what is the date on it?

There are plenty of users who applied before you who have also not yet heard anything, so I really think saying your case is "critical" is something of an exaggeration? :)

Patience, my young padawan ;) It is a frustrating process for everyone - but patience is your strongest ally at the moment.

Wayne.

I wish I had known answer to that.........You'll surely get it before me ;)

On a serious note, theoretically (whether they follow it or not is a different issue altogether), it depends on the complexity of the application - whether detailed employment/docs verification, Security/other background checks etc. are required. If it's a straight forward application and the visa officer is convinced of the authenticty then one gets MR right away

Exception -- I think my application is staright forward but that hasn't translated into me receiving MR till date - 125 days since RBVO. I guess it depends on the NOC too.

I got decision made this Sunday and haven't received my passports yet! At least when the status was 'in process' we knew PP were with the VO. Now god knows..

I heard Bindu and Barkat have similar issues...

My suspicion as to why cases go "In Process" at different times to when they are RBVO is that when they are first received, they are assigned to a visa officer. Depending on the speed and the workload of the visa officer in question, it takes longer for some applications to go "In Process" than others.

Once "In Process", of course cases will vastly differ in complexitity and so the length of time to medicals will also differ.

I don't think any visa office actually processes applications randomly, however it may seem so to us! But a variety of factors are involved, seems pure luck as to how fast and/or busy your visa officer is may be one of them.

Wayne.

Hi - sorry to hear about your family loss. I would send the visa office a case-specific query informing them of the circumstances, and asking them if they require a new additional family form. To be honest I don't think they would want another form but if you inform them then you are covering yourself.
