HEY GUYS NEED AN URGENT ADVICE FROM EXPERTS.

I COURIERED MY APPLICATION UNDER 1122 YESTERDAY THROUGH DHL.

I HAVE NOT INCLUDED MY BIRTH CERTIFICATE IN IT. BUT I HAVE INCLUDED MY SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE AND PASSPORT COPY WHICH HAS MY DATE OF BIRTH AND WHICH IS ACCEPTED AS A PROOF OF BIRTH IN INDIA.

WILL MY APPLICATION BE ACCEPTED. OR IS BIRTH CERTIFICATE COMPULSORY. PLEASE DO GIVE REFERENCE OF SOME DOCUMENT PUBLISED BY VISA OFFICE OR CIC IN THIS REGARDS.

I STILL HAVE AN OPTION TO CALL BACK THE COURIER BEFORE IT GETS DELIVERED. MY APPLICATION PACKAGE HAS ALREADY LEFT INDIA.

Perhaps some of the pre-June-2010 New Delhi applicants can respond?

I seem to remember initially without the birth certificate they were outright rejecting applications, but then they started accepting them as long as you included an equivalent such as the school certificate which you speak of.

But get ready for next week for heavy flood of MR / DM/ IP & RBVO ...

As CIC website is also ideal since 01 July.Lets hope for best..

Yes Nish, as quoted by Wayne, they did return few applications initially in the last batch but started accepting them without BCs. The sent application need not be called back School certificate would suffice!

thanks a lot rod, mayank, wayne and indira for your response. i too always felt that school LC will suffice, but today when i saw the spreadsheet with few cases being rejected coz of BC i got tensed.


i refered few past post also where somewhere Anil has mentioned about a guideline/instruction which was sent by NDVO after august regariding proof of birth.

i just have next 12 hours to decide if i want to call back the courier.



Can anyone please try to get such guidelne. i have tried a lot to find it but didnt got it. it w

Nish I do not have the link for that instruction but I have confirmed from 2 different lawyers here in India (ND) and both have said the birth certificate can be replaced by 10th certificate, I remember earlier the birth certificate was taken by the school at the time of admission and the 10th certificate is official document in India for birth date confirmation.

Again think about the time line, if you recall the application, get the birth certificate (Which is a fight in itself) reapply after getting the BC, will the cap remain open till then? I am quite confident the cap for 1122 will fill by the end of July if not early as I know at least 25 people in Delhi who are sending the documents by the end of this week. So be sure about the implication of recalling and surly getting out of cap or take a risk and most likely be accepted and get PER in the quota.

some applications were returned as a result of not including birth cert. i think u shd call back the courier and have added lest ur application is returned (which will take some time and you run the risk of NOC being filled)...Mandie

I just checked the ECAS and my status changed to Decision made but I have not received my passports yet after two weeks that I sent them.

Could somebody change my information in the spreadsheet, please.
