Sorry for being away for a week.. Had been quite busy with few things.

First of all, let me Thank each and every one on this forum for congratulating me..

There was couple of questions which were asked to me:-

1. Validity of the Visa – Visa is Valid for 1 year from the date I took my medicals.
2. I received following documents from VO:-
- All Passports with VISA.
- A cover letter, It contains some information like what to do when you land.
- Generic Document – 1 for each family member with photo on it. It contains information like Passport number, Visa validity dates, Nationality and many more information about the applicant.
- IELTS original score card.
- Original Job duty letters from all my employers.
- - My Wife's transcripts (They kept mine).

Please let me know if I can answer any of your queries. I would be more than happy to do so.

Well royal wedding is not affecting VO.. and they will be working hard on our applications... and Yes they are going to be back at work tomorrow (Tuesday) source: Website

after medicals and PCC i have not heard anything from our beloved VO... status is also same even didnt change to Medicals Received.. but they received it by 30th march

So nothing new for London.... keep in touch.. i hope we will hear something really soon..

Even if someone gets pregnant then it brings chaos about what will the effect be and how long you will have to wait and again that Xray thing if ever the child is born with some defect or syndromes etc etc though the risk is very very low , but yet the tension is very high when you really need to think to do Xray when you are pregnant. Although it has been compared equivalent to the flying in a jet for 3 hours.
Thank you all the forum members for giving an opportunity to share the experience in this journey with full surprises.

Hi Pratik,
I have been considering the issue of Xray & pregnancy for some time now because my wife is 7 mths pregnant. I decided to consult some experts in the field. Her GP (doctor) said that the risk is very low although she will only advise to do it if its very necessary. According to her, 7 mths pregnancy is almost fully developed and the risk is almost not there. The NHS (UK health ministry/departmant) said that the risk is almost ZERO. I personally went to the Xray department of a major hospital in Hertfordshire (England). I was referred to a senior Radiologist and had a one-on-one meeting with him. His advice is that HE WILL DO IT IF HE WAS IN OUR POSITION. He said the radiation from Xray is less than the radiation from a plane going to Canada from London. He went further and said that the radiation from the ground on a sunny day is more than the radiation from Xray. He said that modern Xray uses low dosage of radiation. We called about 5 DMPs and 2 said that they do it and are confident of the risk level but the other three said that they would rather wait till after delivery. However, they all came to one conclusion: THE DECISION IS YOUR. We are booked for our medical on May 7 (Saturday). I am still wondering which option to take.

I am thinking of starting a new blog on the issue and see what people from other forums will say. There may be other people who may have been in the same position in the past.

1. Yes, With One year validty, it means I can land there anytime prior to 23th March 2012. But if I (or even any of my family member) miss this deadline, VISA stands cancel and I have to reapply for PR.
2. I plan to land sometime after 3 months. I am negotiating with my currect company to transfer me to Canada.
3. Location not decided yet. Depends where I get the job. If I don't get it for next 3 months, I would Land in Calgary(I have a friend there).

Sorry I've been scarce for a few days - spent most of the Easter break decorating and also selling some junk at a car boot sale.

Did I miss anything exciting? Gratz to Nursemich on DECISION MADE.

We're still waiting for PCCs to arrive, Easter break will have slowed things down and next weekend we also have Friday and Monday as public holidays here. So even if we get PCCs by the end of next week probably little point in sending them until everything wakes up again on Tuesday 3rd May.

We're hoping for PPR by end of June, which if they have medical results and RPRF/PCCs etc by early May I think should be doable?
