Hi Pratik,
I have been considering the issue of Xray & pregnancy for some time now because my wife is 7 mths pregnant. I decided to consult some experts in the field. Her GP (doctor) said that the risk is very low although she will only advise to do it if its very necessary. According to her, 7 mths pregnancy is almost fully developed and the risk is almost not there. The NHS (UK health ministry/departmant) said that the risk is almost ZERO. I personally went to the Xray department of a major hospital in Hertfordshire (England). I was referred to a senior Radiologist and had a one-on-one meeting with him. His advice is

I am thinking of starting a new blog on the issue and see what people from other forums will say. There may be other people who may have been in the same position in the past.

I really think 7 months is too far gone for you to worry. If it was anytime in the first trimester, I would encourage your hesitation.
But above all, rely onthe expert opinions you are getting. You can'tgo wrong that way

I hope my status change is not ecas error........that will be cruel.

with the way things are moving.. i think New Delhi and Manila applicants might even get Canadian citizenship after landing and Buffalo applicants might be still taking their medicals

Hey guys, what does "in process" exactly means? Does that mean that they have already verify the employment, education and other documents that we send with the application.

I read somewhere in this forum that "in process" only means that the VO has just started verifying documents. How true is it? Anybody with any suggestion.

I am also studying for my certification exams but going reaaaaally slowly because of my current traveling.. When do u intend to sit your exams?

I have no choice except for november exams It is going to be a real challege

no change dear... RBVO still..i am pretty sure Buffalo VO hasn't been informed that there are new rules for Post 26 June 2010... they might still be in the dark ages

In Process for All VO's around the world = the VO has started processing ur file

In Process for Buffalo VO = we doint know whats going on... somehow we got a file which matched ur client id from somewhere.. we are very busy drinking coffee all day and have no time to reply to queries or look at files. we MAY start processing ur file when we feel like ( we usually feel like dioing so 12-24 months after we get anything resembling a FSW file)

this is the only progress they can show you.. they remove the address and out it on sometimes to show that they r really working.. nothing else...they dont have the capacity to work on files.... they have automated script to put put address into the database every 72 hours and then delete it

Well there HAS been a change in my status at Buffalo VO! My address is gone again ???

So let's summarize:

Address was there, then disappeared, appeared again, only to disappear, appeared once more, and now it's gone again! ??? ???

I feel as though I am at an intersection and the yellow hazard light keeps flashing
