Received my 2AOR dated 25feb......

... from 15 feb the ECAS is RBVO. ..still ..no change in ecas till know . wats going on in VO..

Depends on the visa office. Most visa offices will request passports only when they are ready to issue the visas. New Delhi works differently, and requests the visas at the same time as medical requests.

Nothing guarantees a visa until you actually have it.

For example here is one guy who got PPR and then had them returned without visa due to lack of a PCC:

But generally speaking if you get PPR (except the New Delhi system) you are 99.99% certain to get the visa.

Hey Guys ..
we have a bit of good news to share with u guys ...
just called the bank out of curiosity to know if the LANDING FEES (RPRF) dd got encashed ....
and to our surprise got to know ...IT DID !!!.....
wow ...this is unbelievable ...looks like ND VO is working real fast ....
( btw our medicals were sent on 14th march and PP and dd on 16th march ...)

Our BD is also encashed.. got to know today after calling the bank
Our medicals reached there most probably on 18th march... and PP and BD on 12th march..!!!!

i have a big confusion. my ecas staus showing this today "We received your application for permanent residence on November 17, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 24, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on February 24, 2011."

The last line is the PER date. and my status showing "In Process" since i received PR. I thought Singapore VO will start processing at a later date. But the last line added today with same date as PER. shall i consider that my docs reached VO now? please advise

Dear SamDhaka,

Whenever the last line (…processing on February 24, 2011) added to your e-cas, it means on that day they have started processing your file. That is actually the last e-cas update from VO before MR. So; you are on the way of MR... Best of luck!

Hi Has anybody's status changed to Medical Results Received after submitting medicals and other documents.

Havn't heard this from anybody yet..
Wondering how are we gonna react once we have "Medicals received" status.
Remember this was a bug in their system till few weeks back and this status will now put us in dilemma again - If this is the bug which has resurfaced? Or an actual status. :-\ :-\ :-X

Well I am just pointing out that New Delhi PPR is probably not as indicative of a definite visa as other visa offices, because they ask PPR before medicals/security checks are done.

Probably 95% of people who go "In Process" will get their visa IMO, since any second eligibility review done at the visa office is done prior to going into process. I *think* this second eligibility review is just a very quick check to ensure CIO have not made an error. Since the file goes immediately in process most people will never see "Visa office eligibility review complete" on ECAS - this is probably just for the rare cases where people fail their second eligibility review if CIO made a mistake.

So IMO:

PER = 80% chance to get visa
"In Process" at visa office = 95% chance to get visa
Medical requests = 99% chance to get visa
PPR = 99.999% chance to get visa

Something like that!

hi seniors;

yesterday i got my NER :'( :'( :'( and they told that my job title and tasks not matching with the NOC i applied for;
i'm and instrument technician applied for electrical technician( NOC 7242 ) and most of my tasks are under NOC 7242, I sent my CV with the application, i want just to ask;
1- what do you think if i send again by Fax or regular mail my job task given by the company.
2 - i have to wait and reapply again with the proper NOC number, ans what will happen if i apply like that?
3 - they will send back the application or not? i want use the IELTS & TEF again because the originals with the application.

advise please.

Sorry to hear about the NER. As for your third question - they will not send back the application. they would keep all the documents in their record only will send you DD for the fee amount paid. I also got NER so saying through experience. Can take IELTS & TEF results duplicate.

Wish you good luck. Do not lose heart and apply again as your NOC is not capped yet.

Are you certain of the highlighted part of your post? What I understand is that CIO returns the complete application pack to the applicants for those who got NER or did I miss something?

I must disagree. The process clearly states that if your application fails you will receive the full application back.

This is true not only for CIO, but also if it fails at visa office.

If your application is successful then you do not get the full application back, just original documents.
