Can you really change your Visa office to your countyry of Origin? Really. I will change mine to India on a heartbeat.

This guy Nectar is not replying to several of your queries to him about his source of info but the way he is writing shows that most likely he has someone on the inside. I think this is true as he is not selling anything unlike the lawyers with vested interests who were peddling thier stuff here. So he has little to gain by spouting nonsense.

You need a very good reason, I think, to change visa offices. But when you specify your visa office on your original forms you can choose country of origin or country of residence. So if your country of origin is India I guess you could have picked New Delhi as your visa office. But now I think you would need a strong reason to change, and I don't think they will accept "because London are too slow" :)

Of course, my wife and myself were born in England and lived all our lives here. So regrettably we had absolutely no alternatives and had to choose London as our visa office.

Nectar may have little to gain by spouting nonsense, but he also has little to lose by extending people the courtesy of telling them where he got his information from. If he knows someone who works for CHC London, then he could at least tell us that. Of course he shouldn't name any names, but at least give his crushing statements SOME credibility.

Kolhapuri, you'd be surprised!!!

On a more positive note though, its good to see wakawaka back in action and with good news again. This makes it 2 applicants from London VO whose status has changed to 'In Process'. I hope we a little more activity from London soon, they have a lot of catching up to do with NDVO.

awww thanks for the encouragement shareen!

:D

Hi - ah sorry I saw wakawaka mentioning "Shanghai" so I assumed his application was at China? So he is a London applicant?

Whereas it is a positive sign, until someone from London actually reports getting a 2nd AOR, then these ECAS notes could simply be more ECAS inaccuracy!

asaif have you checked your ECAS status lately?

I check like 3 times per day ;)
Just checked now, still it says "Received by Visa Office" and in the detail:

We received your application for permanent residence on August 30, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 15, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Since ECAS is notoriously unreliable I think we need to see some actual 2nd AORs before we get too excited! ;)

We received your application for permanent residence on September 1, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 17, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I really do not understand what this Nectar guy is at! I have asked him a few times where he is getting his information from and alas no reply!! It is unsettling that he appears to be privy to such information, yet, I feel I can not believe this to be factual and true! It is bad enough to be waiting longer than other VO and then to be told our applications may not be processed until Oct!? He also does at times contradict himself. I just do not like that he provides no information on himself or his source of info. This process is hard enough without scare-mongering!!

Nectar is really annoying me, to be honest.

Telling post-June-26 applicants that their applications won't even be looked at by CHC London until October 2011 onwards, then blatently refusing to state where this information came from.

IMO it is pretty mean scare-mongering and all it is achieving is to worry the applicants, without any way of being sure if what he is saying is true or not.

It is already very frustrating for London applicants (along with Damascus/Buffalo etc) to watch applicants whose applications arrived several months after yours already with medical requests, whilst you haven't even got any info on when you might possibly get a 2nd AOR yet.

Hi all,

seems like some movement at Buffalo VO

Right now my ECAS status changed from CIO ER complete to, Received by visa office and
We received your application for permanent residence on August 30, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on December 16, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

I'm from Buffalo.

Since I got my PER on 3/9/10, I have not been able to access my status on E-Cas. I tried with different numbers, but still nothing found in the system.

Is anyone experience the same thing? Is it because my file has not physically arrived at Buffalo, so E-Cas not showing anything yet?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

This is why I say let's draw from our own experiences and see what happens over the next few weeks. We have 1 or 2 members from London >J26 with the "We started processing your application on XXX" line in ECAS. Although we can't rely too much on ECAS it does add a glimmer of hope that London have just started working on >J26 applications.

And who knows, maybe they will skip 2nd AORs and just go straight to medical requests?

I am optimistic that we will know more by the end of March.

It is nice to see "started processing" finally appearing!!

Fingers and toes crossed this is the start ;)
