application lost in mail?

Hi, I send over a renew application of PR card in beginning of October, but I didn't use the mail tracking system so I don't know if CIC have received my mail yet. I'm worried because my card is going to expire soon, if my mail got lost on the way then i won't know until my card expires. So i wonder if the best thing to do is send another application with the same information in it, and track it this time. Thank you for answering!

I doubt it's lost, however there has been a Canadian Post Strike the past 4ish weeks. That's probably the hold up. I assume that they will make accommodations for you if your package is late due to the strike, but I do not know for certain.
