Does anyone have a number that I can contact cic visa office from United States. The numbers given in this thread cannot be called from USA. Or is there a way around it?

Try calling a Canada number from your office desk. It won't work from regular phone.

Ah. I've been trying using cell phones and google voice. Both of which haven't worked out once it forwards me to the visa office phone number.

I had faced similar issue when I tried to call Wes, but finally succeeded calling from desk.

Don't waste too much time trying to reach them via phone.

What you should be doing right now is to raise a Case Specific Enquiry through the Webform. You can do this by yourself and this is the best way to reach IRCC!! Write a clear message indicating that the Police certificate was in fact uploaded and it was probably a human error by the Visa officer.

Even if you reach them by phone, they are going to ask you to raise a CSE!! Make sure you include your UCI number, this should be on the top of the rejection letter you received and express entry application number and other details. You will also be able to upload a file in the end of this process and if you so wish you can at a strong letter with your signature.

Do this ASAP!!!

Thanks! I did that as soon as I received the notification from CIC that my application was cancelled. I have pretty much given up on this application. I plan on creating a new express entry profile and trying that out. Let's see.

it's going to take time. 3-4 weeks more or less. One of my friend's PR got rejected 1 month ago stating that his passport has expired but his passport will expire in 2021. So his lawyer raised CSE. After 4 weeks his application was reopened and he was asked to re-upload all of his documents.

That sounds like fun! Which means by then my FBI letter will have expired. So they'll get to drag on everything for a few more weeks! Fantastic!

You can reach IRCC call center through Global Affairs Canada, try this number: 1-613-944-4000

Regarding the cancellation, did you upload PCC(s) for your dependent, as well? And if so, did the dates mentioned cover your dependent's address history correctly?

The PCC for both applicants were uploaded. The dates mentioned in the rejection specifically apply to me (based on the year mentioned - 2009). Both PCC (FBI and Indian Consulate) do not provide specific dates and addresses. CIC guidelines do not require the PCC to mention dates/addresses.

I suppose you meant date range? Both PCCs have issue date on them.

I was just wondering if the cancellation had anything to do with your dependent's PCC. But, based on this, "Your Police certificate from India was not provided. This document is required based on address/background history from January 2006 to July 2009. It appears you resided six months or more in that country...", it seems the officer was somehow unable to find your PCC from India.

Any luck with the call center?
