On page two, there is a grey box that has something along the lines of "Please specify the service applied for ______". You have to enter "Police Clearance Certificate for Canada" over there.
Are you sure ? I just mentioned Police Clearance Certificate for India.

Call them and discuss it. You'll get a faster reply by calling than by raising a CSE.

Calling them are worthless. one of my friend stuck in security check, he applied on september 2014 and 2 weeks ago he got PPR under CEC

There is a huge difference between calling to check the status of your application, and calling to discuss a real issue such as CIC overlooking a document.

The PCC I send did have 'police clearance certificate ' printed in bold on top. CRS is above 450. Can you point me to a link that explains how t raise a CSE?

If you are certain, send a CSE requesting that IRCC reconsider the decision, because you believe the VO made an error.

Wherever I had multiple files merged, I have added 1 more index page. What all statements, proofs, docs they will find in this file...

Have to make these apps idiot proof...

Nice. Is it okay not to have first page as the required document itself? So, do you explain something and add later..

Like ..

My PCCs are attached as follows:
FBI PCC: Page 1, 2
INDIA PCC: Page 3

100% sure. Just verified the file I had uploaded.

Hey S_spiff,

Please keep us updated on what happens when you have contacted them, so we get an idea of how to approach things if it ever happens to one of us.

Also if you know which visa office or consulate was verifying your documents, you can email them directly as well. The addresses are available online on the CIC website. ( They have separate visa offices that process temporary resident permits and I don't have any idea how they distribute their work load for PR, so this might not be an option at all )

Unfortunately no idea what office this is. People have suggested that I call CIC. I have no idea where to call either.

This number can be reached only from within Canada. If you are outside of Canada, you maybe able to use some online calling software that would help you call this number. It essentially indicates your location as within Canada even though you are not.

Re: Application Cancelled (wrongly?) - Indian PCC

Have you tried the Web form yet??

Just to be absolutely sure, just scroll through the file you uploaded once more to make sure that your Indian Police certificate was in fact below the FBI cert in the same pdf file.

Make sure to include your UCI number and application number on the Webform and provide it to the service rep if you are able to reach one.

While this is a possibility, it sets me back by several months now! Not to mention that the PCC's are now older than 6 months. FBI was received mid August 2016 and Indian PCC was received end of October. Both are past 6 month mark.

Hi s_spiff,

Sorry to hear about your case, please don't drop the ball, I am sure you will find ways to reach out.
My two cents-
"For the applicant’s current country of residence, the police certificate must have been issued no more than six months before the submission of the e-APR.
For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the police certificate must have been issued after last time the applicant lived in that country.".
I guess you should anyways apply for a new FBI PCC in any case, since your was from Mid-Aug-2016. Since you have not resided in India in recent past, you should not have to get a new one at all! I am dumbstruck as to why would they respond the way they have.

Re: Application Cancelled (wrongly?) - Indian PCC

Guys,
On a separate note,
1) i arrived to the country of current residence 'Uganda' just two months ago, would i need a PCC for the 2 months i have spent here.
2) For my previous country of residence 'Haiti', the CIC website says that i don't need to obtain the PCC unless they specifically ask for it. (It means, I should not submit right?)

Thanks for your help

If u r outside Canada, dial 1 613 944 4000

Take care! But as MGNLKY mentioned, calling is better - just dont ask for update - ask for specific reason and they will talk to u properly!

All the best!

Re: Application Cancelled (wrongly?) - Indian PCC

Did they start reprocessing your application again or did you have to reapply?? How long did it take for them to respond to your CSE??
