Sorry, I didn't properly read your post but just the answers, so I assumed that you are asking about POF because of lack of money. Certain number of applicants from Serbia are under additional surveilance by Vienna VO because of a lawer who provided them false bank statements and some of them are already refused and banned for 5 years.
As for carrying money, I was thinking of cash. I'll travel with my husband on first week of September and bring larger portion of POF in cash. The rest of it (and some extra when I start selling our stuff) I'll bring when I go back with children. I'm trying to avoid bank comissions as much as possible. I see people using traveler's cheques but I don't know if that instrument exists in our part of the work.
I have a question - I do know that settlement funds are tax exempt, but what happens if I land, go back home and return in 6 months. In the mean time I sell my car, my house and get loads of cash. Will I have to pay tax when I transfer that money to my bank account in Canada? Or, if yes, can I declare it on children since they are going to land then and, if yes, is it going to have any affect on them in future?
Also, what is your oppinion on the prospects of EUR/CAD FX rate as a result of situation in Greece?

Why do you think I do not have money!?
I have what is needed in bank account for over a year now.
I have asked for one reason only and that is to be sure I am doing right thing.
I would like just to avoid carring money with me in my pocket.
That is all, you got it all wrong but probably I failed to explain better..
