That is indeed true, but i would like to add something. Although they do upload results in 48 hours and would have told you if they were concerned about something. But it's written in the medicals section on CIC website, that it is not the Medical center which decides upon a candidate's qualifications health wise. Rather, they just write their assessments and visa office makes its decision latter. At some point the concept of "will a person going from here be a burden to canadian health system" would pop up.
So say (God forbidden) you had some medical condition, which did not require further assessment to be sure, and is silently reported on your profile, then it could turn out to be a cause of refusal.
Also in extremely rare cases, Visa office might discover some thing on your profile LATE i.e. after medicals but still use that as a reason to reject.
I am not trying to sound pessimistic and it is me who said in the first place, getting medical done fine has about 80%+ chances of visa acceptance.
Still it is not over until you finally get it. There is a reason that the visa office does not say it to you that your visa has been granted 'even when they are requesting passport (for online applications)'. They still say 'a decision has been made on your application, please send your passport for further processing'.
Although it surely means they want to stamp visa, they still like to keep the option with them. Who knows they suspect something in the original passport or discover some thing odd about you at the eleventh hour.
Moral of the story, it is not over until you receive stamped passport OR receive email for visa success.
