Like every thing else, if you are applying online, it will definitely be a scanned copy. But if you are applying on Paper, you have to submit the ORIGINALS.ati007 said:Hi there, Do I have to submit original PCC with the application.plz reply
One general question, when you go on study permit you apply for work permit. When you get work permit you can do part time jobs. Is it possible that on the basis of job you can get permanent Resident?plz reply I think it is a stupid Question ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???fkl said:Like every thing else, if you are applying online, it will definitely be a scanned copy. Since you asked Permanent residence on the basis of job, i assume you mean CEC, since the question is irrelevant otherwise. The answer is no, because CEC requires at least 37.5 hours of work for a year per week. So part time job won't qualify.ati007 said:One general question, when you go on study permit you apply for work permit. When you get work permit you can do part time jobs. Good one layla.bee - very useful and credible sites. +1. I would add that craiglist and kijiji are massively large version of olx. Any thing and every thing is sold there and it is just a matter of spending enough time to find the right one.layla.bee said:There are few sites that you can use to find the rooms. Basically my plans are to do diploma in Advance Accounting I have a job experience of 10+ years. The clases are two days a week and the classes are in evening. I had my ECA from WES and according to that my qualification is equal to 4 years Bachlors in Finance. So is there a chance that I can get full time job and i can apply for PR.Plz replyfkl said:Since you asked Permanent residence on the basis of job, i assume you mean CEC, since the question is irrelevant otherwise. But after completing studies from Canada on study permit, you get a 3 year Post graduate work permit. During that you do full time job and can eventually use it towards becoming a permanent resident.
You didn't get it right. CEC is Canadian Experience class where you need at least a year of full time work experience IN CANADA to apply for it. No past experience in another country qualifies for this. If you are going on a study visa, the work permit that you get is for part time work. So i don't think you would be legally allowed to work more than 20 hours and if you do it might have extreme consequences.ati007 said:Basically my plans are to do diploma in Advance Accounting I have a job experience of 10+ years. Let me tell you about my background, fkl said:You didn't get it right. CEC is Canadian Experience class where you need at least a year of full time work experience IN CANADA to apply for it. Once you are done with your degree program, you will get a post grad work permit during which you can work full time and qualify for CEC after a year.
By the way, since you mentioned DIPLOMA i am not really sure about the prospects of visa. Generally speaking study visa for Masters programs at universities are pretty high if you have a good profile and secured admission. But those for college applications are very very slim. I don't know of your details but keep this in mind.
A study program which is like 2 days a week and classes in evening... i really doubt you would get visa on this at all. Since you haven't applied yet, please make sure you make the right choice of program.
You can even apply for PR right from Pakistan if you qualify enough points for FSW or other category. It just takes a long time (several years). But CEC is a new and much faster PR visa category.
Okay, it is a university and Mc Master has a good name too. So it is not risky as i thought first. But i would still say DIPLOMA is a question mark. Why haven't you tried for full time masters program? Your MBA from here would still be 16 years of education so technically as a degree you need that too.ati007 said:Let me tell you about my background,
I did my MBA in Finance in 2003, thereafter did 3 years job in Bank , and then joind a fertilizer company as finance officer. I approached Mc Master university for Diploma in Advance Accounting and they accepted my case. It is a 2.5 years program . Kindly give me a suggestion that should I go for it bcz my intentions is to get a full time job and to get PR.PLz reply
So your point is that I should go for Masters not for Diploma my case may ge rejected? am I right???????????????????fkl said:Okay, it is a university and Mc Master has a good name too. If you can't reconsider this at this point then i would say simply apply for now with what you have, but do it asap and expect it to take some time for processing.
Just for your information the forum is full of student visa applicants to colleges for diplomas at undergrad level. Most of them get refusals after waiting for a very long time and there are rare cases of success too.
The only negative point for you in my opinion is "diploma". But you have a better profile than those, going for masters level program, at a good university (not college), so i guess you should be fine over all. But that is just my opinion.
Yes, it would have been better certainly to go for masters.ati007 said:So your point is that I should go for Masters not for Diploma my case may ge rejected? am I right???????????????????
First, of all, i am not an authority to comment upon chances. Please understand that my feedback is just based upon my experience reading first hand cases of others, most of which through this forum.alibutt2013 said:@ fkl
i am going for advanced diploma in accounting from humber college for 3 years. what are my chances of getting the visa? i applied on 19th may and received my medical on 11th sep. Got my medical done this tuesday but they also asked for a updated letter of acceptance. i was suppose to register for the sep intake but they took long to process my application so i deferred it to the jan intake and sent them an updated letter of acceptance for jan.
