I'm confused about the SOP. It's not a mandatory document.
The thing is my current job profile is related to Marketing (though in the electrical industry). I've done BE in Electrical and now going for MEng. in Electrical.
Submitting a SOP might just convince the VO to reject the visa on the basis of non-alignment of my studies with my work ex.

I've got a letter from the HR mentioning my job duties (slightly different language used and Marketing as such not mentioned directly).

Any inputs on this?
Are you employed btw?

I am thinking to apply by the end of april or starting of may.

I agree that applying end of April is a good decision.Also VAC states that they cannot accept applications for study permit 120 days before the date of travel.

would you please share the link where VAC states this?
Secondly,what if we apply early?They will reject or will keep it on hold to process later?

@Ash73

Seriously?!
Google before asking such stupid questions.

Don't know how you got admission when you don't even know what is a SOP

So what will be the best time for us to apply (may or June)?
Please share your opinions. :)

Good chance actually. I had a slightly lower GPA i.e. 7.01, that is the only reason I couldn't apply to Calgary.
Ottawa is easy. Let me know if you go ahead with Concordia as we'll be classmates.

Cheers,
