Folks, don't expect any big updates for the next 2 weeks. Especially for those from the 2nd half of Feb who have been biting their nails like crazy (pun intended). Fact is, next week is spring break for school children in Ontario. So, lots of case officers might go on leave. Infact some could have done so this week itself. If history is any indicator, just recall last year how inactive it gets during long breaks (x'mas and even school breaks).

I would say that you most likely hear something by the due date, which is one year after your PER, but yeah, late Feb and early March applicants seem to have been placed in limbo, but they should expect something probably soon (within a month or something since they mostly received PER around that time last year). So make sure that your bank statement history has no holes!

Today I got my CAIPS by email. It's a PDF including some strange code names and there is no sign of my sent documents even a scan of them.

did you really believe they would scan your letter and put them on your CAIPS? that will never nappen. There is a section called incoming, look there for evidence that they received your letter or not.

They would definitely write every correspondence they had with the applicant on the incoming (or outgoing) section. The question is whether they actually used it to evaluate his eligibility, and I don't think CAIPS contains that information.

I just checked the incoming section. There are two entries : one is for "kit, application forms" and the other is for "their email exchange to inform me of the refusal".

Also the dates on them are way far from the dates I sent my updated letters.

I also checked the paper file history section. No evidence of my second letters.
In the outgoing section, I found evidence of their email to me.

Nothing else I found. I'm still in doubt whether they considered my updated letters.

Wow, I can't believe... they sent me letter asking for me to show my Proof of Funds... this sucks I was hoping they'd ask me that sometime in June... right now I am broke... could someone please update my details on the excel... They must be processing super fast they had issued me PER only on January 8th, 2013.

Now I need to figure out the money part... what happens if I do not send my 6 months bank statement? and only send a Letter from the Bank showing funds again?

Coz I did not have $14000 in my account for the past 6 months... and right now the balance is $1400...

Any suggestions

You will get rejected. No doubt about it. I am in the same situation except I have a permanent full-time position which hopefully will waive it. I have no solution for you though. Do you have anoter shared bank account with anybody who has sufficient funds by any chance?

As you'll definitely get rejected if you don't show the bank statement, and will also get rejected if you do show it considering your situation, I'd say withdraw now, as you might get your money back, and try to reapply when you know for sure you can show the funds whenever they ask for it.
Tough, but I don't think you have much choice here, unless you can get the money from somewhere and justify that it's definitely yours.

You will definitely get rejected if you only show 1,400 (let's not even talk about 1,400, people who showed 13,000 for 2 applicants have been shown to be rejected), regardless of your bank statement activity. If you can somehow get (not borrow!!!!) 14,000 dollars from somewhere, and explain (and prove) that you get this money as a gift with no obligation to return it to anyone (or say, if you sell your car for 14,000 dollars, then include the receipt or something), then you may have a chance.

I think he/she didn't send it in during your first application. Its not really doc request per say. Its folks at Sydney who feels u need before they send it off to CPP-Ottawa.

I think his file already got sent to Ottawa (he got his PER already 2 months ago). The request did come from Ottawa, though I think they're probably switching the order of checking (check bank statement activity first if it's not already there).

agreed. Withdrawing is your only chance. You are under great risk of committing misrepresentation and being banned from applying for 2 years otherwise.

I think so many people are being rejected for lack of funding, that they are requesting it by default as soon as humanly possible.

Well that will mean that doc request in future wouldn't really reflect that your application is going move along fast as it did for us applicants from the 2012 list

As seems to me, Ottawa stops working on our applications from time to time, and we are experiencing one of those periods these days. I have been waited for one year now without a single communication from their side. Ridiculous Canadian immigration system.
