No news about the documents I sent them 2 weeks ago eitherTyrusX said:Things are very quiet for January applicants. Only I got medical requests so far, it seems? February applicants seem to be doing much better.
I have submitted mine more than a month ago, no news for me too! I believe most of the January applicants have already submitted theirs and based on the spreadsheet no medical for them as well!utopie said:No news about the documents I sent them 2 weeks ago either
I think my case is complicated for them and they are not sure what to do.
yes, things are slow again. I don't see this getting any speed before may. Average processing time is 15 months in CPP-O. Given that is average, it is easy to see that our cases are already passing that. I added a new column showing the ~ amount of months since application.sehara said:I have submitted mine more than a month ago, no news for me too! Hope things pick up again by end of the week or starting next.TyrusX said:yes, things are slow again. I don't see this getting any speed before may. Average processing time is 15 months in CPP-O. No, I believe those 8 months they used to show were not realistic at all. They were probably restricted to the few CEC from 2010. Now they have thousands of cases in a backlog.aler123 said:That's interesting that the processing time has increased to 15 months. It used to be 8 months from what I have seen before. Does this mean that they will start slowing down the process from now on?
You have to show your account activity in your both accounts.absolute_boy97 said:Hi guys, I have a question about proof of funds.would appreciate your help. I have a foreign bank account under my name which has not have any activities for the past 2 years. Now if my family deposits the money to that account and then I transfer it from there to my account in Canada, would it be fine? This way when I show my canadian bank account history it is obvious that I have sent the money from my own account to the Canadian account. would this work? They want the bank history from only one account , right?!
37.5 hours per week, or about 2000 hours per year. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/index.asp OP 06b around page 33.lolita22 said:Hi Guys,
I'm asking for a friend here. I was wondering what the work experience requirement for the phd stream is? Is it 1200 hours full paid? Any links on the CIC that can confirm this since I couldn't find anything.
Thanks!
You're talking about the new amendments to the definition of work experience to CEC (effective starting 2013). This does not affect FSW as some people are still getting PER from Sydney, whereas Sydney has also been known to reject CEC applications with just RA/TA lately. Let's hope they did not add this new rule to FSW as well.lolita22 said:Isn't the total hours different for the phd stream? You can't work full time while being a full-time student, right?
The way I applied using my RA experience only: Fall and Winters 20 hours/ week and Summer 40 hours/week. That means two falls, two winters and one summer gives you enough hours for one year of continuous experience.lolita22 said:Isn't the total hours different for the phd stream? In fact, you can. RAships are full time work, as far as we were able to understand the interpretation of the regulations by the visa officers.lolita22 said:Isn't the total hours different for the phd stream? You can't work full time while being a full-time student, right?
