No need to include dependant with Canadian Citizen.....
I did not see that line before!

I am from INDIA. Currently doing my PhD at Canada..
For my application which Visa office will be faster. Is it New Delhi, INDIA or CPP, Ottawa.
According to the below link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp
CPP-Ottawa has average 8 months processing time (after june 26, 2010)
New Delhi has average 13 months processing time(after june 26, 2010)
Any opinion from senior members of this forum....
Thanks in Advance
I don't know if it is helpful or not, but you can provide a cover letter with your new 6 months bank statement and argue that youShabnam_m said:I don't know what to tell them and what proof I should provide! We never borrowed money.
Each cent of these 20k was our own, earned from our salaries.
It seems like whatever you do, they need explanation!
If everything is in order, New Delhi seems to work very fast on this category. Usually within a month of their receiving the application from Sydney they will send you the letter to submit medical + RPR Fee + Passports. If you don't delay in your medicals you will get back your passport + COPR in next 45 to 60 days. The only issue which might be of concern to you is that they will not send back your passport to your Canadian address but will ask for an Indian address (as it is illegal according to Indian government laws to send Indian passports via post outside India) to send it to.Uwindsor2009 said:Hello guys !!!

Yes i agree..i am also from india and was debating the same thing...in the end i decided to go with CPP-ottawa...additionally if they do decide to randomly call you for an interview, you'll have to make a trip to India!... ;Djmmj said:If everything is in order, New Delhi seems to work very fast on this category. with high probability this letter is not OK, go and ask for the letter from dean with official stampUwindsor2009 said:Thanks guys !! one more confusion regarding PhD attestation letter
I received my Phd attestation letter from Registrar office not from dean of graduate studies.
Again in the letter there no handwritten signature. In fact a stamp signature of Registrar.
In the letter there no embossed stamp only a wax stamp.
But content of the letter is according to the format....
IS THIS LETTER GOING TO BE OK WITH CIO, SYDNEY......
Any suggestion regarding this

if they accept the letter from register office as well as dean, then it is Okay, but can you ask them to stamp it with the embossed one as well? this way you would be more sure !Uwindsor2009 said:The letter does have official stamp but is a rubber stamp not an embossed one.
When I approached the dean office they redirect me to Registrar's office..
please see this link . Nowhere it is mentioned embossed stamp. It is mentioned only stamp.....

in the footnotes
Applicants will be required to include, in their application package, a letter of attestation from the recognized provincial or territorial post-secondary education institution where they are pursuing their PhD. The letter shall contain the following attestations:
that the applicant is currently enrolled in a PhD program and has completed at least two years towards its completion; and
that the applicant is deemed in good academic standing to the satisfaction of the institution.
The letter of attestation should be an official letter, on university letterhead, signed by a recognized institutional authority such as the registrar or dean of Graduate Studies that clearly addresses the above-noted two components.
My concern is that whether stamp signature with official seal is fine with CIO, Sydney or not
Please Share your experience from this forum :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
thanks in advance
we have seen many people on this forum being returned their application based on technicalities related to this attestation letter...so the best thing is to do exactly like they mention in the instructions...then you have a peace of mind atleast!!Uwindsor2009 said:The letter does have official stamp but is a rubber stamp not an embossed one.
