Hi guys,

DO you think I can argue like this way:

" First of all, my rejection is due to the lack of continuity of work experience. However, According to the note in:
Oversea Processing (OP), OP 6a - Federal Skilled Workers (version: 2012-03-22)
Section 7.3 Assessing applications against the Ministerial Instructions (MI):
When assessing one year continuous work experience:
“Anticipated short breaks between jobs are acceptable. For example, if an applicant is employed in one occupation for a 4 month contract and before the end of that contract, has secured other employment that will begin shortly after the end of first contract, this break in continuity would be acceptable.”
My employment at University XXX ended in June, 2009, and my last working assignment ended on March 7, 2009. However, I received my offer from University YYY on March 6, 2009, which guaranteed my Teaching Assistantship from September, 2009. (I attach my offer letter from YYY as evidence.) In this case, I think the small break between my two employments is acceptable. Regarding to the summer break at the university XXX, since my position after summer is secured and foreseeable, it should also be regarded as acceptable.
With respect to the length of the breaks, School does not work as business unit. summer break is defined by school calender. No class in summer doesn't mean I am fired or leaving from my position. "

Thank you for all your suggestions in advance.
You should try it. I think it makes sense.

No you don't have to pay the application fees for your child because he is not applying for PR...also where it asks for number of people on the application you are supposed to write 2....but regarding the settlement funds you need to show funds for 3 people since you are a family of 3....
:)

Hey Saalam,

I just got PER today (18th Jan, 2013). BD has been en-cashed on 10th Jan, 2013.

Check your email buddy.
Congratulations!! Thanks for updating us. I did not get it yet. I will wait 2 more weeks to see. I am not sure if the nationality has any influence on that delay. I am from Egypt. Who knows!!

Look, I guess way to many times here, as we don't really know what the hell they want. I would say, Print every form of proof of fundings you have. Print T4s T4as, Print those pay slips, Print the bank history in your bank. HIGHLIGHT the payment part on each month. That is what I would do.

I'm a bit busy this weekend and I got some disturbing news. So I may need to be very short in my messages.
I totally agree and i almost did so.

I had the same situation, Here is what I did:

I did not pay the application fee for him since he is not applying for PR.

I wrote 3 in the number of family members. In the instruction guide (cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/step-by-step.asp), under question 3, it is said that: "Indicate the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.". I believe that canadian born children are fit in this sentence (despite they are born and live in Canada)

To avoid confusion in VO or CIO, I put this in my cover letter: "My son, HIS NAME is a Canadian citizen and he does not need a permanent resident card, so we did not pay the processing fee for him"

there is a problem with doing it this way...in the section where you enter your dependent info it specifically says include everyone who may or may not be accompanying you to Canada except those who are already PRs or Canadian citizens ...so clearly you won't enter your child's details here but just your spouse's....but if you start off saying 3 people in the application, when you try printing the barcode, the system by default will not allow you to proceed because of that mismatch...so that's why you should enter number odf people in the application as 2..it was actually smallkick from the forum who brought this point to my attention and he was absolutely right!!

there is nothing in the instructions outlining such a situation....but it's the only way you can do it...else it won't let you validate your generic form...this is the link from another discussion on this

You will find this instruction in the generic form itself. Just below the Dependent (s)....

No need to include dependant with Canadian Citizen.....
