Hi everyone,

Yesterday I received the RPRF, Medical exam and Police certificate requests via email!

Back in June 16th I had received an email with this text: “your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of your enrollment in, or completion of, a PhD program”. Sorry for the dumb question, but is this what is called PER? I'm in a university in Ontario, is this email what I need to change my "status" and reduce my tuition fees?

Also, I only have one page left on my passport, I haven't gotten a new one for fear it would confuse CIC. Should I get a new one and just send both passports and a cover letter explaining when I get the passport request? I'll need more pages for a visa to a different country very soon anyways.

P.S.: Just a reminder, I'm the guy whose application was returned in December and miraculously reassessed in June.

I wish I may get get before my flight on 17-July. Otherwise, i might need to re-schedule the things. Let's see.
I called CIC today and lady gave me email (CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca) where I can contact about this and she said write "Urgent" in Subject line.

I sent on July-04 but on real grounds it left my city on July-o6 and reached Ottawa on July-o8.

Probably (not sure!) they will send it back to you next Tuesday (July 14th). For me and many others, it only took one day to receive it. Even if it takes 2 days for your case, you will receive it on July 16th. I think you have a good chance of receiving it before your departure. BTW, why didn't you put a cover letter when sending your passport indicating your issue?

My dear friends,

I just came back from Niagara Falls, Officially as a Permanent Resident ;D

I had very very very smooth landing experience at Rainbow bridge. I arrived there around 1:00 PM today and walked to USA, I was there at 1:05 PM. The officer asked me for the reason I was there. I told him for "Flag Polling". He got my passport, wrote my name on a refusal letter and gave it back to me in 30 seconds. He did NOT even record my name in their systems. So I was back to Canada side around 1:15 PM. Canadian side officer was also a very nice lady. She got my study permit, passport and took a quick look at bank statement. After 15 minutes of sitting, I signed the COPR and walked out as a PR around 1:30 PM. Please PM me if you are going to Rainbow bridge for landing for further details.
