Applicant from PhD program after 5 Nov, 2011 connect here to get status

I think CPC-O has stopped issuing MR for PhD applicants. I saw many October applicants (other NOCs) who got MR recently but no PhD applicant from October.

Wait Bro. our turn will also come soon. I am waiting more than two months now for the PPR, so I know how it feels. But we have to keep more patience, even after MR u have to wait for PPR for long time and getting the passport back will take again a month. But the best thing is that when you are doing PhD a program which sometime takes 6/7 yrs then who can show better patience than us

People on the other thread (FSW-Ottawa) report getting their MR almost every day. They have different timeline in Oct one of them was Oct 24. However, as far as I know, no one has reported any MR in the past two weeks on this thread . I also haven't heard anything outside of the forum. I have a very limited network though.

I appreciate if anybody else can let us know if he/she has heard any MR for PhD applicants in the past two weeks.

One of my friends got MR one week ago. He applied in September. Not sure about his timeline.

Thanks farahnz. Don't worry my friend. It is just the matter of time. Even by looking at your timeline, I want to let you know that I applied more than a month before you and I got MR 3 weeks ago. So, it's not late for you about receiving MR. You may even need to wait for two more weeks or so.

I applied on Dec. 14, 2014, and my credit card has not been charged yet. Does anybody have any idea about if the cap if reached? Has any body who applied in December 2014 heard anything yet?

I think Cap is not full. It seems applicants who applied on and after Dec. 1st are not charged yet.

Hmmm..... No PPR from CPC-Ottawa....

If I dont get PPR by next week, I will NOT have a chance to claim differential fee back for this term..


Right now, I'm hopeless about getting PPR soon and claiming differential fee back..

Apparently there has been a recent news that a December 8th applicant is getting his application returned due to cap being reached. This was found out by calling CIC. I am a Dec 8th applicant as well and have lost hope now.

I just saw that news that cap has already been reached. Waiting for my application package to be returned. Feeling frustrated....Anyway, thanks to all of this group for helping and encouraging so far, good luck to those who are in process.

My case same like you I have my application returned on 12/12 and it was initially submitted on 23/09 but they asked to fill the main application with all dependts and see and it back so shouldn't they consider the initial submission time.my guess they just stopped processing the PhD applications in December,it is really frustrated.
