Thanks. It was received by CPC-O on Feb 18th and I got it back yesterday.

Thank you for your response. The application was received on September 18, 2014. Credit Card was charged on December 10 and an email was sent on January 5 notifying me that my application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed and that they will contact me if aaan additional document is required. So today (March 5), I received the request for updated evidence of settlement funds.

You probably did not provide the statements with your application package and instead of that you may be just provided a letter with current balance or may be didn't provide any supporting documents to proof that you have that much liquid money which you have mentioned in your 'Economic Class form'. So, it is very normal they have asked you now for the proof. I am sorry to say but if you would provided those proof with ur application then u might receive the MR and RPRF instead of this settlement funds request.
Anyway don't worry, just provide the documents properly, make sure u don't put any large chunk of money within this time. If it is mainly come from your salary or from other regular source that should be fine otherwise you have to explain really really explicitly. CIC is very serious on this issue and if they don't convince they could reject ur application right away. So please be careful.

Hi Guys,
I have a question regarding FBI report. Who needs FBI report? Anyone who visited US or who been in US for 6 months or more? Do they ask for anyone who never been in US too? Applicants who went through FBI report are most welcome to reply, please.

FBI report is mainly for the applicants who lived in US for more than six months. For us who stayed in Canada for them RCMP screening is the main security check and the one from out back home. I have been several time in US and stayed never more than a month. I didn't ask for FBI. So, if you are in the same situation u won't be too.

Adamant: Thank you very much. I was bit worried about that. Do they ask RCMP report? or they do themselves at the time of security check? In the checklist, they asked countries other than Canada. I assume, they have a way to screen it.

No Richard, they will do that (RCMP) by themselves so don't worry about that. Good luck !
