I actually took that guideline from the PR card application section of the website, so I cheated a little bit...but the photos you submit are actually used for that purpose. The additional country-specific checklist (USA has one) does include a photo-specification page as well, which basically tells you the same thing, and doesn't mention the requirement for a stamp (you should have the date on the photos tho I believe).

I have the country-specific checklist.
I found a photographer who does it for $25 and that's well worth the price so I'll got there when the time comes.

Thanks bunches for your patience with me. I have calmed down a bit and not feeling so stressed out about the process.

I DO search the site before I post, but sometimes don't find the answers I need. So, I depend on y'all for help.

Thanks for being here! :)

Sorry was away for the week.

The number I use to get to CIC is 1-888-242-2100, I then hit 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 0 and it connects me to an agent. I don't bother listening to the menus anymore haha.

I have all the documents filled out except for the Spouse Questionnaire.
I'm working on our timeline and making notes of what all to gather for proof of relationship.
My guy is doing things on his end, too.

We are not sending it in until after we marry in April.

In the meantime, I am packing/moving from my apartment to live with my Mom until April (save money).

Christmas is coming (bah-humbug) so there's that to deal with.

Then will come shopping for wedding clothes, arranging appointment for med exam and sending for FBI report.

So, gathering/filling out documents etc. is an on and off thing. Good thing I'm uber organized so I can keep up with it all! :D

Be VERY careful about filling out the forms now when you aren't planning to send the app for 6 months. It is usually best to fill them out in the month before you plan on sending them because CIC often changes the forms without notice. If you use an old version of even just 1 form, there is a good chance your entire app would be returned, seen this happen several times on here. Keep that in mind.

Will the changes be noted in the Guideline?

I will be checking that when all is finished, to make sure all is correctly done. If there's a change, I will notice.

As far as I know, CIC doesn't state anywhere in the guides when they change a form. That is how several others have been caught out when preparing their forms far in advance.

So, just look for the changed date, then look for any changes. Ok, thanks!

I was reading through notes I've collected over the months, on this process, and I saw this (don't remember where I copied it from):

First, your family member who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada must apply to be a sponsor and then be approved. When your sponsor receives positive results from her/his sponsorship assessment, you have one year to complete the forms and gather all the required documents.
......... Note: you cannot apply until your sponsor has been approved. See the guide for more information.

I thought you were to send in both applications together!

Wherever you copied that from, it is completely 100% wrong if referring to spousal PR apps!! You fill in everything and mail everything together to CPC-M for outland apps. There is no question about this.

Thanks! See, that's what I thought!

One other thing that was in the article:

The right of permanent residence fee is $490.00 per person. We will send you a request to pay this fee when we are ready to issue the permanent resident visa.

I thought ALL fees had to be paid up front.
