Did they give you a sense of how long your background check will take? I submitted by FBI report in early March.

My BG changed to "In Progress" just today and in few hours I got the Passport Request. It varies from case to case.

My BG changed to In Progress today. I did not get any mail though. I randomly checked my CIC account and it showed updated. Did you get an email for PPR?

It took only 3-4 hrs. It is important to mention that they asked me to submit updated POF on 10th June which I submitted on 19th June.

Hello everyone I just got married to a canadian citizen female did I become a permanent resident?

It was a letter to submit passports sent in MyCIC account as a new message.

YES SIR. They are on the way to deliver your Canadian passport. Just kidding 8)

You and your spouse have to do the necessary paperwork to get the citizenship.

Proof of Funds. I have to resubmit all bank statements for last six months alongwith salary slips to prove that I have required funds.

BCG updated to "In Progress" - AOR Jan 28 2016

Today 1:30pm PST, I checked my CIC account and saw that the Application status was "Updated". When I looked closely, I see that my background check moved from "Not needed at this time" to "In Progress".
I didn't receive any email message or any other message in my CIC account.

How long did it take for you guys to get the PPR email? From what I have read, there doesnt appear to be any consistent trend. Some people get ppr same day after BCG check goes to in progress.

Thats quite a match. I am a JAN28th AOR and i saw the BG updated from Not needed at this time to InProgress today when i checked at 1:30 PM. I did not get any mail though ! Awaiting PPR soon.

Not really. Call Center doesn't have this kind of information.
