Good to know we both are on same boat

When is your PGWP expiring?

Can you please shed some light on process for extension which form needs to be filled? And when you said 5 months processing I thought I have seen somewhere extension for WP is one month.

Thanks

Tariq please apply for PGWP even if there is 70-80% chance you'll get your PR soon. I remember last year it took me 5 months to extend my PGWP. Because of that I was on implied status and hence no SIN nor OHIP. Try to avoid implied status as much as you can. Let me know if you have any question about the extension procedure. Best luck,

Hi guys, has anyone submitted a request for changing VO after receiving PPR? Wondering how long it usually takes for CIC to get back.

Hi - Did you apply for change in VO via Case Specific Enquiry[CSE]. As per that it shows it will take around 5 business days. Let me know how many days it actually takes to change the VO

guys my background changed to in progress today! From not started

My PPR had a highlighted point saying " If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, please send an email to us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you." It hasn't been 5 days yet though so I'll wait for a few more days. Thanks for the info! :)

Go here. It explains everything. You get a set of fingerprints. Preferably 2 sets at least from a police station where you live. ( I say 2 sets bkz sometimes the cards are not readable and they will reject them after 3 months. So at least 2 sets. Make sure they are ok.)
Then send it to the address on the website with a money order or credit card info. (Credit card info is better since money order is valid for 3 months and they may take more than 3 months.)
They will send you the FBI Check .

It takes between 13 to 15 weeks. It takes a long time but the process is not that hard. It's just stupid.

You cannot apply through channellers even if you are in the states. COC wants the one that are issued by FBI.

Dear Team Members,

I have a query.
I am in an interview process here in India which is most likely to result in an offer in India.
Say i get the offer in 1st week of Feb, then i have to resign from my current employer and serve a notice period of 2 months. Basically, i would be with my exisiting employer till 1st or 2nd week of April and i am hoping that i ll be through with PPR before that as my AOR is 19th OCT.
So in this case do i need to notify CIC ?
Your comments are most welcome

Since you are AOR is Oct 19th, you are most likely to get your PPR before April. You do not need to inform CIC at this point. Incase, your case is delayed more than April, then you can submit a CSE and inform the changes. Though this change would not have any impact on your existing application.

If your work permit says open work permit then you fall under extension of work permit with same employer.
I also extended my PGWP but the processing time varies. When i applied it says 90 days but it goes on increasing day by day to 110 days. But still I got my work permit in 3 months.
So dont wait for EE decision ... never know I would suggest apply for the extension.

Thak you buddy for sharing your experience

I have a similar query.
I changed my job soon after my AOR on 5th Oct. Do I need to inform CIC & since I have already missed it, will it have any major implications if I update or do not update now?
