How there cannot be a maximum timeframe for the security check????? This answer they give us when we contact them really kills me! we paid them to serve us with processing our applications. Many of us even have paid RPRF. This is crazy :o

It's terribly frustrating, but sadly there's nothing we can do. You have no idea how often I email CPC-O with requests to give me some sort of an update. Nothing works. I keep getting standard annoying responses. So I resorted to living my life as if though my immigration to Canada will never happen. No other option.

I know the feeling :(

Have contacted them many times by email, CSE, and phone. Received generic answers. But I'll keep bothering them to get a reliable answer.

Hope you give us the happy news very soon dear :)

Yup. Almost 13.

Is there anything in particular about your spplication that would delay security checks? Like too many trips abroad or too many family members? And didn't they give you a date when they can actualy physically take your file out and work on it? I'm sorry about the delay. Hope it ends soon.

I had a government job 3 years ago. And no, they give no dates. The explanation is that it is out of their hands.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your country of origin?

Desperately waiting... looks like today people from April are getting it...
Hi dear sttaq
Thanks for reply yes some people's in April got their PPR but March aor is total dry today.

We got our passports back today, had submitted it on 13th Oct at VFS, got it back in 4 working days.

Thanks for all the support guys, this forum was very helpful in keeping our morale high. We hope and pray that you receive your PPR request soon.

God bless.

I just got my GCMS notes. My question is, does a call center agent prepare and send the notes or an immigration officer? Did they actually open my file to prepare the notes? Does it help them give attention to my case or does it have no effect on the actual process? Does anybody know? Thanks.

Honestly, I feel it does not change anything.
I did not call CIC or ask for a single GCMS during the first 6 months. My representative called once after we passed the 6 month mark and I was fortunate to get someone who told us everything was fine.
I have read about some people who were able to send more supportive documents to help their application based on their GCMS, but I really do feel that it doesn't change anything for most of us.
Getting a rude and bored response when calling them sometimes makes it worse.
However, if it helps to reassure us, and maybe that's a good enough reason to do it.
