I was given a timeframe too, but the happy end didn't take place by then.

BTW, I just called CIC. A very kind lady (agent) told me there might be some news by next month.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but CIC agents have no clue and are not able to give any timelines. They told me: you can expect something in the next couple of weeks. That was in April. Still no news until now. So I stopped calling them and believing anything they say.

Oh there has been a lot of back and forth with CIC. Re-did my medicals about month and half ago. Basically, application is undergoing security screening and there is no maximum timeline for that. Nothing to do but sit and wait.
There's a number of other applicant's who have been waiting for over 12 months.

How there cannot be a maximum timeframe for the security check????? This answer they give us when we contact them really kills me! we paid them to serve us with processing our applications. Many of us even have paid RPRF. This is crazy
