Just got the update email from CIC and my background changed to "In Progress".

AOR : 18 December
OINP Inland - CEC
Medical Passed 6th Jan
Schedule Request 6th Jan
Background Change: 10 April

Hopefully a good news

My Post-graduate work permit is expiring on April 30th. I was planning to apply for it today and was reading earlier on CIC's website about how to apply for extension. But while I was doing that, I received an email that my application has been updated.

When I checked myCIC account my Background check went from "Not needed at this time" to "In Progress". I submitted application on December 09, 2015.

Should I wait and not apply for work permit extension? Any suggestions?

Seems like it's only a few Decemberians who received emails yesterday around 3:30 pm. Hopefully we get the PPRs soon. Fingers crossed.

115 days since AOR. Would be so nice to receive my PPR close to 120 days... but I'm worried, I saw the people from September and there are a lot of them still waiting!

Can anyone please guide me how we can order GCMS notes ? I reviewed CIC link (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp) but it says "To send a request you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently in Canada." I am from India and my AOR is 10 Dec (123 Days) so wondering how should I request GCMS notes. I heard of few sites offering those but not sure how reliable those would be. Any guidance or experience shared would be great help !

you need to ask a friend in canada and if you dont know any one in canada then use

it charges 25$ and takes 30 days.

No I didn't get no email, I just checked randomly and status was updated and when i opened Background was in progress.
