Just got my PPR a few minutes ago. I want to thank everyone who has helped me in this forum and wish our remaining August fellows all the best! I called the agent last week and a lady was kind enough to send a message to the officer asking my application's status. I think that worked. So try to call them frequently and there may be someone who is willing to help!

Hi Vishalv,

got my PPR on 1st March, but checked my mail today. I decided to check mails in every few days, I am from Pune, and need to send the passport to Delhi. I have few simple queries

1) does VFS work on Saturday?
2) how long it normally takes to get it back.

what all I need to send, correct me if I am missing anything.
1) Two passport, my and wife. in separate email
2) mine got renewed (thanks to you), CSE updated, So I need to send only the new pp.
3) two photo each,
4) PPR mail in each envelop.


also you are going to Calgery?



Thanks for advising me to renew the pp. mine was abt to expire in June.

Hi Shiv,

Congrats on receiving the long awaited PPR.

1. VFS is closed on Saturday & Sunday.
2. After submitting your passports in vfs for stamping in NDVO, you are supposed to get it back in 10 working days.

The documents you mentioned above (i.e. pp, 2 photos each & ppr mail) are sufficient. Just to be on the safe side, it would be a good idea to attach your old passport along with your new passport. The people at the VFS counter might sometimes ask for the old pp.

COPR = Confirmation of Permanent Residence

It's an important document which you will receive along with your passport from NDVO. You will need to show this document to an immigration officer when you land in Canada.

No, I am not in IT. I work in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Hi!! I sent the email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca February 6 and got the response March 3.

Congrats to all new PPRs, so nice to see you guys getting it, finally.

I know this is a very stupid question but every one who has received the single entry PR visa can you please confirm that the expiry date is in the Date-Month-Year format. I don't want to confuse the date and not enter before the single entry visa expires.

I got my passport back on 5th March .. sent it on 1st March ...
