Still its a short time right? how long can we expect the COPR expiry to be? Does it really matter when my medicals expire on june 18th?

Your COPR expires one year after your medical exam or when your passport expires, whichever comes first. So assuming that most people's passports are not the issue, it is usually the medical exam that creates your deadline for landing.

And yes, you will have to stick to that deadline. It specifically mentions all that on the PPR letter.

If so then it would make things worse for me. If PPR's are sent out in march then probably it'll take at least 2 months to get COPR (Just my assumption) and my medicals expire in June in which case i'll have to rush and land. More the delay, shorter the time to prepare for landing. Am i right?

Barring any further delay, I opine that 7th Aug AORs should get their PPR late January. I theorise that most july applicants, as well as early august applicants' files are "visa ready", but the delay in ppr may have been due to Quota/target related reasons.

Yes the longer the delay shorter the prep time for landing for sure, however the likely hood is that the bulk of July/August apps would be completed before March

it will take approximately 1 month to get CoPR.

so COPR is sent with the stamped passport (from ottawa or local VO with your passport that you send after PPR) or it is sent individually after ppr?

CoPR is another name of the immigration visa stamped on our passport after PPR.

I thought COPR was a letter?

what i thought was, copr is a letter given with your passport that comes back after stamping. and you have to present this letter while flag polling or landing to the officer which he or she will sign and you will sign to confirm your landing or flag polling.

correct me if i am wrong.

Not sure. Anyway what I can confirm is, CoPR comes with passport. May be its a letter.

Hi everyone, I've submitted my docs and received AOR on Aug 28th.

Anyone here's still having a problem with ECAS? I seem to have the same error "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided" since 1 month. Not sure what's happening, and I don't have a way to check any progress.

The last update was in September asking me to pay RPRF (we sent you correspondence on September 25). I've paid that fee in the same week.

Could anyone suggest when I can expect something to happen on my application ? My current application status in CIC Online Services is -

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Provided
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed In Progress
Final decision Not Started

Many thanks !

Hey I have my AoR date as 21st Aug. I paid my PR fees upfront so there is no update in my case. Even my BG check is not in progress. When did your BG started?

How do I check when my BG check started ? I've received a number of ghost emails but I didn't visit cic website everytime :-|
