How do I check when my BG check started ? I've received a number of ghost emails but I didn't visit cic website everytime :-|

You can vaguely assume that your BG went into in progress with your last ghost mail, possibly a couple of weeks ago.

Most applicants are affected. An applicant who sent a cse to cic got a response that " the issue is system related and they are working on resolution"

what i thought was, copr is a letter given with your passport that comes back after stamping.

correct me if i am wrong.

Are you sure about this? I thought its usually sent seperately from PPR although after it....?

Yes COPR is a letter which I called as confirmation of permanent residency, which will be Sent with your passport after stamping the single entry visa. This you need to produce at the border, up on landing your time of landing will b mentioned on this document. This I have seen on many of my friends CORP letter. This letter will be
Given to you once landing is completed

Just asked if there's something wrong with my application and if he could check that so if there's something wrong I could fix it to avoid a rejection. He checked the application and told me there's nothing wrong. Just that. Then I asked about my current visa status, that will expire in January, so he told me that looking into my files, I'm qualified to request a bridge work permit... I asked if he could tell me when my application will be processed (I know that he couldn't tell when, but I was trying to get as much information as he could give) and that's the moment when he told me about the backlog, that CIC has a lot of application to process but that they are working to process all Express Entry applications until March/2016. That's all what he could tell.

Well bad news first, I don't have bg check yet compared to most of you. The good news is I'm still in the race.

First attempt of call to CiC was a failure. The agent was nice but insisted that MYCIC os what it is.

2nd attempt was somehow a success. The agent was really helpful and got some of my details including UCI. i waited for 2 minutes for her to check my application. Upon checking, she said that my last update is they already acknowledged the landing visa. I confirmed it to her if it is a RPRF. She answered, indeed.

Then she said that my application is currently being reviewed by another agent. I mentioned to her that my bg check hasn't started yet and said that my gcms notes revealed that I should have an update by Nov 28.

She mentioned to me that my application is under review (still!).

Then I asked her again and told her the reason I called is to ask if there is anything I can do to avoid rejection. She confirmed my wording and asked, you said rejection? i said yes.

Then after a few pause she said that Your not in that situation it's just that there are additional reviews that we're being verified and We appreciate your patience.

Thanks for sharing this but my question is are we able as outlanders to call CIC?!!!! the contacts in there r available for Canada residents only as far as i know. i appreciate i you can tell the way i can contact them .. thanks

My BG is not in progress till now (AoR 21 Aug). Just wanted to check if someone with AOR before this still has his BG not started? Its always a comforting feeling if you know you are not the only one left ;D

I have Aug 1st AOR, RPRF paid on 25th Sep.. Nothing after that.. Not even BG in progress...

Only Medical passed, eligibility not started, Security not started, Criminality in progress...

In the Notes section:
VO passed education details, job duties, ielts, medical
Indian PCC: NRT
RCMP: NRT

is that means eligibilty passed? Criminality passed?

Last update was on Oct 6th. after that they did not touch my file....

I am also a CEC-PNP. I got AOR on Aug 20...What does your CIC status say? DO they match the GCMA notes?
