Great. Your initial BG checks (R10, Criminal checks)are started and agent at CIO might felt that the submitted documents seems to be okay to him/her. Don't worry about that additional 50 points and I think, you'll be fine with whatever documents submitted to them. I wish you all the very best with the rest of the process. If my assumption is correct, then you may get PPR before mid of May.

Yes, I have received my PPR last night. All the best with your process as well.

My timelines are as follows:

ITA -Jan 04, 2017
AOR-Jan 17, 2017
Medical passed -Feb 20, 2017
BG 1st Change (NBG - Next step to conduct BG)- Feb 20, 2017
BG 2nd Change (NA) - March 15, 2017
BG 3rd Change (IP) -March 24, 2017
PPR- March 24, 2017

As long as company provides reference letter that we are holding full-time or Permanent position, I believe we can still claim those additional 50 points. It doesn't make any sense to say again that our job offer is valid at least one more year even after specifying that job is full-time position. At that time of my application, I heard lot of different versions around this 50 points and somebody told me that it is misrepresentation to claim those 50 points without mentioning those words in that letter. I submitted my documents and the end result last night I got PPR. My intention is not misguide you. I'm trying to share my story with those 50 points.

To be safer side, I have submitted reference letter + my WP copy(1 year validity at the time of submission)+ Job offer and increment letters that my company issued after I came here.

All the best guys with your PR process.

Congratulations! I think here if your job letter says permeant, that encompasses the "at least one year" requirement. Point is, the person's letter has to state that the employer will continue to offer the person a job.

Best of luck with the future!

Yes, that's what I'm trying to explain it here. Your offer letter should specify that we are holding Permanent position in that company. Then I don't think again company has to explicitly specify the wording ("at least one year") requirement. If company is willing to provide, then that is well and good. Unfortunately majority of the companies won't provide that because of "X" reasons.

Some may say that my visa officer is kind enough to consider my request. Just for everyone's reference, one of my colleague also submitted after me with the same documentation structure mentioned in my previous response and he also got PPR last night. Few of my friends submitted recently, their process is also going smoothly without any hurdles.

Well the letter could say "13 months" or "5 years" or "permeant". It doesn't have to say "at least one year" it just has to be an offer extending past one year.

We just need people on the forum to understand that when they apply for the 50 points, the job offer has to include a reference to the employer offering a job extending past one year. Without that they stand a high chance of rejection (unless after removing those 50 points they still fall above the cutoff)

Hi Baji,

Thank you so much for update.

I am loosing sleep for a while on this, as I didn't see anyone getting PPR based on employers reference letter (with out 1 year after PR).

I am 17-Feb AOR. Submitted letter stating permanent full time and currently on long term assignment .. started in Canada from Dec-2013.

Waiting for an update.

+1
