Thanks for sharing your words on the medical experience, you had...Tina, why they asked you to submit Indian PCC bcoz I think, we need to submit only if we have lived in India for 6 months? please correct me if I am wrong, that is what written in CIC website.....

Did you apply for Indian PCC prior they ask? How long did they take to stamp....here they saying, High Commission can take 6-8 weeks....did you apply in High Commission or at VFS???

Did you have any medical history, what documents did u take with you? if any?

Yes, you are right, I done mine medicals on 16th Aug in Melbourne,

The Medical Story:

When i got mine medical request, then along i have to provide Indian PCC, Aus PCC, Landing Fee and latest AusVisa details.

So I gather Landing fee check first, made a certified copies of Visa and applied for Aus PCC because without passport, I can't do anything......and for India'n PCC i have surender my passport for stamping.....so I finish these work first along with that i booked mine medical's date which I got 16th Aug.....I have the option of three DMP's in Melbourne and they charge almost same fee.... but all three DMP's office's are in three different locations around melbourne....so I choose which is in CBD and close to mine house....on the day..16th Aug....I reached 15 minutes before....DMP's reception already guide me to bring fee, 2 passport photos, passport, medical forms, and any 5 years old medical history papers etc....no need of fasting etc.... normal diet....when we reach receptionist check all documents ...fill forms...taken fee and guide to wait for 10-15 minutes and by the time ...we give our urine samples....when DMP called mine hubby and i wait for mine turn he came back in just 15 minutes...when i meet DMP....he start asking me mine medical history related question....then ask i have any medical paper related to that or not....they he check...routinely...one by one....like BP, pulse, eye, throat, ear, height, weight, other body parts....then he took mine blood sample and ask me to sign the immigration paper and told to leave and free to go.....only the thing is we have to go different place for x ray because he doesn't have x ray facility in his clinic.....so over time spent in DMP clinic was 45 minutes and xray clinic 30 minutes...that's it...we haven't ask DMP that everything is fine or not.....because we are "SURE" that everthing is fine....lol!!

No I haven't submit the PCC along with application...so that's why they asked me... regarding time frame ya I heard the same...6-8 weeks...to get your Indian PCC.....you have to apply VFS and they forward further for processing...

Ya...we have medical history....we taken old history papers....can't discuss here...but yes, we taken....in ths forum and many other's....i gathered info....and everyone say's.....don't hide any info....so i decided to be truthful...and show old medical history paper....but nothing serious issue.....and DMP didn't ask to do new or further medicals.....so that's great...

I have a query from you...as you are also from hospitality profession.....which state you are choosing for hospitality job??? because now its time for me to choose i think.....what information you have gather can you share me.....what's your hubby background (industry)??? and are you focusing for your profession first or hubby.....

Mine hubby is in HR / Business field so he is suggesting me to choose according to you professional...i will get the job easily anywhere (office's)

maybe because we born in India...and before coming to Aus have any history of crime etc.....that's why they asked me and maybe they ask you also....not sure....but if you born in Aus ....then definately not.....

I have to go for Calgary, Alberta as my employer is in Calgary, dear...My husband is manager in a fastfood but he is really interested in Truck Driving...u know Punjabi boys...they want to do something like big....I don't know about him yet, as his sister lives in Ontario so he can think to buy any business there alongwith his jija ji..

NO, why should i waste money and surrender my passport for 2 months....PCC validity....especially Indian....not sure!!

hi everyone! especially to ritu and tina, tina I am from melbourne too and also on a temporary visa as my wifey is studying here. I am planning to apply in Canada under FSW 0631. I was a restaurant manager before back in my country. I am in the process of completing the requirements and I am choosing Sydney Australia as my VO. Ive got a few questions for u guys.
1. License Search History from Vicroads - Tina, How did u obtain one?
2. I already have PCC here in Australia which I just received today. My PCC back in my country is already in process. Do u guys think this is too early? Coz I was back reading some of the topics here and some of u guys submitted again PCC's because at the time their application is on process, the PCC's got expired.

Hi Chhoti, I am sorry if I hurt your feelings, my purpose was not the same. I could not get time to post my reply.

Congratulations to all who had progress during these days.

I also recieved a letter from Sydney VO to submit additional travel history, background check etc.

Hi Ritu & Forum friends, sorry for the late response. Yesterday I attended the interview at VO Sydney.With god's grace It was a very pleasant experience and learning. VO took 20 minutes to finish my interview. He asked general question about my background. At the end he asked about any questions I want to ask. I asked him about the outcome of my interview and he told that he is satisfied with the answers and he is issueing MR now. After interview he escorted me to the reseption and told the lady to issue me the MR. The lady told me to wait for ten minnutes and after ten minutes I had medical request in my hand.

A small inconsistency or mistake may trigger the interview call. So it is better to study the whole package of application. The VO had studied my application very thoroughly and minutely.
