@cmaple, I think you're all set and just make sure that you have gathered all the necessary documents/proof required.
Hi, mic-mic. I hope so nga po. Hehe. I know the agony of preparing documents for temporary visas. Haha. Goodluck on your profile sa express entry. ;)

Anyway guys, if ever, may ma-suggest ba kayong diploma course na malapit sa pharmacy degree bukod sa pharm tech?

Salamat! at God bless sa mga nag-aapply!

Try looking for sub specialties or specializations in your field. You could try din a masters in health admin if that floats your boat.

@Cad143 Bruh my uncle is a PM sa canada haha. You should do PM though BM is also a great choice, but Pm is always in demand where ever you go. Who knows we might even meet pa sa Canada dba? Yes unfortunately they take forever. I applied sa Algonquin in June got in almost August na ata? Good thing about Algonquin though is they have their own ICAS thing so kasama na un sa 80 CAD fee nila (Idk if it counts sa ibang fields though just check)

@peej06 So sorry yo, pero baka naman malapit naman yan matapos or the officer just forgot to flick it to passed? If anything ako im so nervous because I did not pass an SOP! I didnt realize that this forum existed till I submitted my application.

Graduate Certificate ba yung program mo? If yes, how long did you have to wait before they replied na tanggap ka? Wala pa ako IELTS coz what I have is the general one. Hahanapin na din ba nila yun agad or they can ask me to take the IELTS? Nakakuha kasi ako sa UP ng certificate na nagsasabing medium of instruction ang English. Tapos okay ba ang North/Laksehore campus? Looking for employment options din kasi for the spouse. :)

Gusto talaga namin Ontario sana para mas okay ang work choices. Mataas din kasi cost of living ng Vancouver dba. :)
Hello Cad143,
It took them around a week to reply to mine although I already have my IELTS that time BUT as far as I remember, IELTS results can be a "to follow" document.

I'm taking a post grad certificate which is just a thesis short of actually becoming a masters degree (my program is credited by other schools na research component nalang tapos ma grant sayo yung masters title pero as usual, gastos na naman yun!)

The area itself(both north and lakeshore) is not as safe as other locations pero mas magulo sa downtown na parang Maynila sa kanila but it is generally safer pa din compared sa pinas.

As for jobs, depende po sa location ninyo. If sa downtown kayo stay, halos dikitdikit ang mga sotres so mas madami opportunities sa jobs and mas madali mag commute. If sa mississauga for example, medyo mas on the residential side siya and mas mahirap commute pero madami din part time retail jobs. Google lang po kayo ng jobs sa location na target ninyo and then you can start from there.

Synder, wow sonography, highly specialized! PM pala uncle mo! parang gusto ko nga din mag PM after mag graduate kasi coming from a business background ako and when we had project management classes, advice ako ng teacher ko to take some exam habang di ko ko pa complete yung hours for the actual PMP test

Maple, maybe you can take a look at health management or something more specialized and related sa field mo para mas strong ang case ng application mo. Just always keep in mind that the program is suppose to be an upgrade :)

Goodluck sa atin lahat! May all our targets be realized soon!

I'm planning to take Pharmacology Specialization po. Connected po sya sa course although it will be another degree. I would also look into your suggestion mic-mic and synder. Is it not too late para mag-apply for admission at this time? Kasi gusto ko sana 2 years muna. Sa kukunin ko baka it will take me 3-4 years. Haha

Im planning to take po kasi this september 2017. Also, do we need to align our COE with the NOC of Canada po??

Salamat po in advance sa makakasagot po. :)

Hi to all! newbie here,

I hope someone can enlighten me in making our SP possible.

Quick Background:

I'm a Mass Communication graduate. I've been working on the Digital field or creative industry for 7 years. I am currently working in a company as a graphic designer. My wife is a licensed teacher and has 6 years of teaching experience in Preschool. She is unemployed at the moment but she is in the process of putting up her own tutorial center and currently conducting a part time private home tutorial sessions .

Here's our plan,

I have already taken and passed an English Test. I'm planning to enroll at Arbutus College to study Marketing. My wife will accompany me and we will be staying in her sister's house at Vancouver. We saved a modest amount of funds for the program costs but still in the process of achieving the amount of funds that we must have for our show money.

any tips or advice po that we need to know?
Doable po kaya yang plan namin? Ano po kaya chances namin na ma-grant. Thank you. :)

Been checking Canadian Colleges for nearly a month now ;D Also from PH, and I'm looking for something to further my deuce background. An MA or another Diploma, perhaps. I haven't checked Everest but now I think I will. I'm just worried that after paying fees and going through admissions and applications, an SP might not be granted. Not to mention it costs a wad of money to study in Canada. Huhuhu
No, not Everest. They had some controversy in the past regarding their programs so stick to the public colleges.
Also, everything is a risk, there are no guarantees, so don't let that stop you from applying. Marerefund mo naman deposit mo if your SP is not granted.

Sorry guys, I cannot locate my SOP anymore. Naiwan ko sa Pilipinas.

Well, actually, just prepare the right documents and ensure that you have enough finances for your study and you'll be good.
Make a good statement of purpose stating your background, experience, and how that all links to your planned course in Canada. The SOP must also show what you plan to do with your degree when you graduate and how it will help you when you come back to the Philippines (theoretically).
There is no magic formula or a guarantee of approval, pero kung legit naman lahat ng documents mo, and you show that you will not violate the terms of your student visa, granted naman lahat.

Hi ianess,

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your application.

1. Ave daily balance is 11k/month - kelan po nagjump to 226k yung funds ninyo? More than 6 months po ba?

2. In your re-application, please make a strong case why you chose to study abroad instead of sa home country.

3. I also had a study gap of almost 10 years but I explained in my Letter of explanation why (i did certificate courses related to my business instead of getting masters, etc)

4. I also have a different work and educational background from what program I applied for but I also explained in my letter why

5. Weak economic ties- in your re-application, please present other assets apart from cash po like car, house, lot, etc

VOs are aware po that every student visa applicant is considering to migrate din if they like the place but you need to prove to them po na if it doesn't work out, you will not do anything illegal po and will willfully go back home (home economic ties). Napaka higpit po kasi nila sa immigration. May mga student po na kahit nasa boarder na ay na-de-deny pa din bigyan ng study permit and pinapauwi if they were asked questions about their application and something is not consistent.

If you read a few pages back, you can see my previous posts on guidelines on how to make your SOP. If you can answer the reasons why the VO denied your application, then you have a good chance of getting it. We have a member her before who got denied and re-applied in 1-3 days and got the visa :)
Hi Micmic,

I appreciate your reply... I did not visit this page until today hahaha, I wanted to clear my thoughts about this refusal.. but now I'm back I need to face this AGAIN, and overcome it in order to pursue my Canada Dream.. haaay

I will be resubmitting my application this coming August.. for now -- I am saving my salary and other income to at least arrive around $10,000 CAD. I was really confident with my first application due to the fact that I am being sponsored by my sister - a Canadian Citizen and with a fat bank account reason why I did not focus on presenting my own financial docs.. Right now, I am working on transferring the title of a real property to my name.. and I will need to edit pa yung statement of purpose ko, answering the things you mentioned. (i will do this around June ciguro and might need ur help). hehehehe.. My second application might need me to travel to canada without my husband -- later na lang cya mag apply once I get there. Knowing ur case na different edu background and work from ur program gave me a glimpse of hope.. I sure will work on my case.. Aja!

Thanks again sa useful advice, Mic-Mic. Weighing all options now. Please let me know kung ano update niyo re PGWP mo at kung titigil work ni misis while waiting for PGWP approval.

Google ko agad and was relieved na sa North ang PM ng Humber. haha. Question lang, sa Mississauga area kayo now? What can you say about Scarborough? Ano mas malapit sa downtown Toronto? Planning ahead na and best in research talaga ako now. Lastly, diba nag lodge na din kayo application for EE, what test did you take, IELTS or CELPIP? Thanks again for all the help.

Good luck to all of us! Mic-Mic, wishing you and your family get PR soon. :) Think positive!

hi scorpio1614.

Thank you so much for your advice,

1.Will it be ok if my aunt will be providing our show money? how much kaya need if me and my wife will be going? also anu pa kaya need na docs from my aunt? aside from bank certificate, letter of solvency knowing na she does not own a business and currently unemployed pero meron naman savings from her previous work and meron din sa stock market.

3. sabi kc doon sa college na pasukan (12 months of academic study + 12 months of of co-op) so technically 2 years din ba PGWP?

Thanks! :)

Hello CAD143,

Masarap korean barbecue sa Scarborough ;D and I think madami din pinoy but it is mostly dominated by the chinese in the sense na parang may chatime in every corner and may chinese translations din ang mga establishments hehe Don't get me wrong, the place is nice but I have no idea if it's easier to commute there going to downtown as compared sa mississauga. Sa mississaga naman is mostly comprised by middle eastern, pinoy, chinese, and vietnamese.

Regarding IELTS, general ielts ang kelangan for express entry. Pag international stuent, academic ielts naman. You can try the calculator first and see how much points you will get ;) Mahal din kasi ielts dito, $300 plus

The good news is that na-grant na ang professional certification ni missis from Ontario so she is now licensed to work for a government public institution(i.e. public school) sa Ontario kasi one of the regulated profession yung field niya. Sadly, di kami sure if we can claim an extra 50 points for it so sana di na namin kailanganin yung extra 50 points this coming wednesday ;D

Hi kindid, letme answer a few of your questions habang busy sa mga homeworks si scorpio (graduating na kasi kami hehe)

1. Yes as long as she can provide proper documentation and letter stating that she will support you and she must attached a valid ID to prove her identity. As for the funds, I have no idea what is the minumum requirement now but it will surely be indicated in the application guide

2. the college is only concerned if you will qualify to study in the program (vie transcript, diploma, previous experience, etc) and once they give you an offer, you have to prove to the visa officer that your application is genuine and you will abide by the rules and regulations attached to it

3. I think yes, but i am NOT SURE
