Merry Christmas to Everyon here sa Forum

Ngayon lang ako nakabalik here sa forum coz I let my emotions settle first after na refuse applicaton ko for SP.. haaayzzz.
I guess I have to face the challenge again, just received my caips notes :

I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO... :(

REFUSAL GROUNDS:

1. PURPOSE OF VISIT
2. EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS IN COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE
3. PERSONAL ASSETS AND FINANCIAL STATUS
4. TRAVEL HISTORY

CAIPS SUMMARY of REFUSAL

Applying to TAke Post-Deg Diploma in Biz Admin, 2 yrs. LOA indicates 16 week practicum. Sister to cover costs. I note modest annual income for declared employment of PA - PHP340K. Own funds/savings of PA low - bank balance of PHP226k shows ave. daily balance of PHP11k, I note limited travel history - Asia. PA is married, has 2 dep children. Spouse applying for open WP. Study plan seen. Unclear why PA is taking program at this time or why a similar program would not have been pursued until this time locally or regionally at less cost and higher convenience given the costs. While PA presents related educ (Biz Admin, 2002), it is unclear how program of study is relevant to PA's declared work experience (customer service rep). I note PA has not had any further educ taken since 2002. Presents weak econ ties to the home country, to compel departure from Canada after a period of stay. Appl refused. Appln of spouse is also refused.

Any thoughts guys or recommendation?? I wanted to NOT pursue CANADA anymore but my sibling who's a citizen there is pushing us to make a work around and get through this. I know I need to work on my Study plan and address things that are not clear to the VO pero hirap mag compose ulit.. :'( Regarding my study program being not related to my work experience as noted by VO, dapat ba akong mag change course?? I really dont know. I need to find a way pa how to increase our personal savings account -- magkano ba talaga dapat nakadeposit sa savings accounts when I am sponsored by my sibling, and she has presented I think well enough funds around 20CAD plus my own saving of around PHP 200K. they also noted abt my limited travel history.. I am not sure if it will work best that I apply muna on a visitor visa in CAnada?? My sister wanted that we try visitor visa for now if approved then i get to visit canada by MArch when I get back, by July re-apply then for student visa but still Im all confused kung ano talaga gagawin.. waaaaa :'( :'( please heeelllppppp!
Hard case since you have study gap, course is unrelated to your current employment.
Seek professional help.

Hi! I'll be applying again for SP and since the embassy didn't send back all my documents (just my passport and refusal letter lang talaga), do I need to undergo medical exam again? Or automatic na na my result ako dun when they check my new application?
Medical is valid for 1 yr. You will have an ID from the letter you receive from embassy asking you to get medical. Use that if you still have a copy.

Wala kang copy?
Hmm malilink naman siguro yun.
Yung refusal letter mo may UCI yun.
So don't over think about it.

Hi newbie here, i have so much questions sna may makasgot po although yung iba nsagot n nung nag backread ako. Im still waiting for my letter of acceptance from my school in toronto.

1. My course is personal support worker , i am a registered nurse and passed the board exam last nov 2015 , i dont have clinical experience and i am currently working here in doha qatar as an INSURAMCE OFFICER/Medical Coder. 8 months lang duration ng course ko dahil yun ang murang tuition and related sa course ko kaya yun pinili ko, but i am worried kasi bka refused ng VOC dahil 8 months lang .

2. I was planning na ilgay sa SOP ko na gusto ko mgkaroon ng clinical/hospital intership since i dont have edperience and our hospital will not allow me to do intership without a training license as a nurse in supreme council of health in qatar . Our hospital is accredited by canada and its a big factor if i will do my intership in canada, i will also state that once i gain atleast minimum 6 months of intership i can apply a training licensed as a nurse in qatar.

I need help po if okay yang letter pf explanation ko before i lodge my application.

Thank you god bless us

Hi Liz C, congrats! Pwede nyo po share yung timeline nyo? Thank you!
Thanks! Here's my timeline --

Last week of May: Received LOA from Algonquin
2nd week of June: Applied for study permit online
4th week of June: Received notice to undergo medical exam
3rd week of July: Online confirmation that all docs are complete
1st week of August: Submitted my passport
2nd week of August: Received passport with study permit

Actually, September 2016 intake dapat, pero too late na ung permit. So pina-adjust ko sa school na January 2017 intake na lang, kse available naman ung course ko for that semester. Though, I have to apply for an extension for study permit, sa Canada na lang when I get there.

Hi! I'm aiming for algonquin college septemper 2017 intake.

As of now i still haven't taken my ielts and applied for the study permit yet so i still have those hurdles to go through.
-------------

I've browsed around and i hear ottawa has 4 months of severe cold months as opposed to toronto with a more reasonable climate. ...Well, good luck to both of us. congrats that you have your study permit already.

what's your timeline? and what's your score on the ielts? If i may ask?...
Thanks! And maganda daw ung Ottawa... sabi... :)

Required kse sa course ko is at least 7 for each skill, I got 7.5 sa average ~ phew ~

Hi Timmy,

Sorry for the late reply. Naging busy kasi sa finals. :D

I like how realistic your planning is.

Best to assume that your part time job will not cover expenses other than the basic ones. For example, if the minimum wage is 12.50 and you can only work 20hrs/week, that gives you only 1k/month BEFORE taxes. Assuming your wife can work full time, it is possible BUT it will be tough to take care of kids, study and work at the same time. Ayan po ang buhay ko ngayon hehe Since graduating na po ako, my wife has to do all the work kasi masyado na po demanding sa school and I just end up skipping work so nag -leave of absence na lang ako sa trabaho.

Ito po ang sample monthly expense namin:

-1k/month rent (depending on location)
-140/month bus card (assuming you go to school everyday monday to friday only and this excludes trips on weekends 3.50/trip or maximum 2 hours kasi sa GTA)
-350/month car insurance since new driver(trust me, after your first dose of winter and you have kids as little as 2 years old, you will need a car)
-200/month on gasolin
-800/month daycare per child. This can be avoided if sa Toronto kayo kasi subsidized ang daycare doon pero unahan sa pila and minsan the waiting list is for over a year long OR above 4 years old na sila and pwede na pumasok sa regular school OR sa gabi mag work yung naka open work permit if maliliit pa bata

During the summer break nman, you can work full time so that is around 4 months worth of full time salary (around 2k/month before taxes) so makaka bwelo po kayo for the next coming months. The key is how you can pass the kids around. As a fellow parent, I can tell you it will be a bit challenging. Request ka chane ng shift kasi conflict sa work ni partner mo :DB but after all, para sa kanila naman di ba? ;D

Luck also plays a role. We are VERY lucky my wife got hired in her field when I just boarded my plane to Canada (she applied online and got a phone interview, tapos skype interview and then got the offer) so she immediately started when she arrived (arrived on Friday night, worked Monday morning) :)

Hi ianess,

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your application.

1. Ave daily balance is 11k/month - kelan po nagjump to 226k yung funds ninyo? More than 6 months po ba?

2. In your re-application, please make a strong case why you chose to study abroad instead of sa home country.

3. I also had a study gap of almost 10 years but I explained in my Letter of explanation why (i did certificate courses related to my business instead of getting masters, etc)

4. I also have a different work and educational background from what program I applied for but I also explained in my letter why

5. Weak economic ties- in your re-application, please present other assets apart from cash po like car, house, lot, etc

VOs are aware po that every student visa applicant is considering to migrate din if they like the place but you need to prove to them po na if it doesn't work out, you will not do anything illegal po and will willfully go back home (home economic ties). Napaka higpit po kasi nila sa immigration. May mga student po na kahit nasa boarder na ay na-de-deny pa din bigyan ng study permit and pinapauwi if they were asked questions about their application and something is not consistent.

If you read a few pages back, you can see my previous posts on guidelines on how to make your SOP. If you can answer the reasons why the VO denied your application, then you have a good chance of getting it. We have a member her before who got denied and re-applied in 1-3 days and got the visa :)

Hi mic-mic,

I'm interested in reading your guidelines for the SOP. I'm trying to look for it in the previous pages, but I can't find it though. Do you think you'll be able to link me to the page, or at least let me know the approximate date that you posted it?

Thanks! :)

Thanks Floje and scorpio1641, I'm trying to extend my study permit kaso may dagdag pang hassle for me: I had to renew my passport in March at ang sabi samin dito sa Philippine Consulate in Vancouver na 10 weeks ang processing. OA ang tagal, my sister applied for hers last year in Ottawa, and it was mailed back to her in 2 weeks. Hopefully my timeline will work out since I can't apply for a SP Extension without my new passport ??? Sobrang sagad ako in terms of deadlines, sana makuha ko yung PGWP awa ng Diyos haha

I'll be heading to Toronto at the end of this month for a short trip, sana maganda na weather sa East Coast :)
Hello humdrumdum

Hi! Primary sponsor ko po is my dad. We have a family friend in Toronto that will let me stay in their house for free once I get approved for study permit. Do i need to get a letter of accomodation from her?
