At talagang mag pray for God's grace. :D

By the way, isasama ko po ang husband ko sa application. Marami na po kaming nabasa na good news and bad news about this.

Financial matters: Make sure that the amount covering your full tuition + fees + living expenses for you and your husband are liquid or easily withdrawable. Yung properties etc. are good as a support lang, pero kailangan ipakita that you have enough money to cover what is required.

On bringing your husband as your dependent, I think mic-mic and Floje as well as the others on the thread can advise you better. I am not so sure however, that your stated reason for him to be your tour guide there is enough.

Good luck

Hi po ulit Scorpio. :D Yes withdrawable 2 accounts namin.

Hehe.

Hi Ibong Adarna,

Ako din po nurse sa Philppines, Im taking Liensed Practical Nurse sa Bow Valley College sa May 2016. Yun n kasi available po nila seat nung May 2015.

Im also taking my husband with me. We are planning to lodge our application by today or tomorrow. Sa financial status merun kami 54, 000.00 CAD then support from my mom worth 71, 428. CAD then my sister will be providing us with accomodation.

If im not mistaken pag 1 yr lng, 1 yr lang din ata PGWP.

Hello din maryjoane :D
Ang dami nyong proof of funds hehe! Kami nasa 35,000 CAD lamang kaya kelangan po namin suportahan ng other assets (2 land titles). Sa calgary pala yung bow valley. Ilang yrs course mo?

Hehe!

I find it more convenient and patriotic to travel locally so I may able to help local bussinesess and promote tourism in the country.. ;D ;D 1 month namin ginagawa yung SOP. haist..

Sa proof of funds po dapat 1 yr tuition + 10k for living expenses + 4k for additional dependent po.

Hi ma'am maryjoanne at ma'am ibong adarna seems like we are at the same boat. All of us are applying with our partners. Sa amin kasi is I'll apply for sp visa and upon approval I'll apply my wife's owp. As per my agency's advise, the chance for approval is higher kapag ung isa muna para additional ties sa philippines. We are still at the early part of our application. Hope that all of us will get positive results in the future

At pag less than 2 yrs but more than 8 mos = Not greater than the length of SP/course ang PGWP lang ang ibibigay.

Hello Denden86! Pero God Bless nalang po kung anu man ang maging decision namin either of the two. :D

Hi im newbie here! Anyone send their application by paper based? Or mail?
I applied study permit and my husband as my accompanying dependent and applied TRV. We send our application june 12, 2015 and received by embassy june 15. I got an email from cic for medical instruction last june 19, i did the med. june 29 the result was send last july 2 accdng to the clinic.
I am very worried because til now i didnt receive any email from the embassy for my husband's medical or so on. So any advise? I dont know what is the status of our application. Thanks

My opinion, a two year course gives you more leverage because of the two year pgwp. If something unfortunate happens for the first year you will have another year to work on for the pr which eventually what we all aspire. On some cases, an option for those who go to canada on a year course is to enroll again in another course after a year to make it 2 years of education = 2 years pgwp. A year course if lucky can be less expensive option but in my opinion a riskier one unless you can land a noc 0,a,b job immediately after the study. We all are landing on a foreign land and the first year is usually the adjustment period, a time to stablish contacts, networks and the "canadian experience". Just my two cents po

Hello everyone, newbie here. My wife got accepted at a university in ontario. She applied for a student permit, I applied for an open work permit. Na-grant naman ang application. She has her S-1 visa while I have a W-1 visa. Thanks for your inputs!

Thanks denden! ;D

Hi Bringourdfries! Congrats na grant kayong dalawa! :D Pwede ko malaman timeline nyo? What do you think are the reasons which made your case stronger even if you both applied at the same time? ;)
